~ authors note : I was supposed to write something for jeongins birthday but I forgot so this is a late birthday oneshot and a Valentine's Day oneshot!! This is also the first post of 2024 so I hope everyone is having a good year so far!!

Chan sat nervously waiting for who he thought was supposed to be Changbin, but when he saw Jeongin walking through the door he felt like he was going to have a heart attack with how fast his heart was beating.

Let's go back to the start.

See, Chan and Jeongin both have a massive crush on the other but are too scared to ask the other out.

Insert Changbin, a self-proclaimed matchmaker. He's managed to get multiple couples together and he's making it his mission to set a date for Chan and Jeongin.

Once Changbin finished class, he pulled out his phone to text Jeongin and Chan.

Private chat between Chan and Changbin

Changbin:
Hey, are you doing anything for Valentine's Day?

Chan:
No
Bit lonely this year

Changbin:
Okay great! Wanna meet me at Cozy Corner Café, I'll be wearing something red

Chan:
Okay cool

Changbin:
Also wear something black

Chan:
Okay? Why black tho

Changbin:
It's literally the only colour you have in your wardrobe

Chan:
Fair

Now it's Jeongin's turn.

Private chat between Jeongin and Changbin

Changbin:
Have you got any plans tomorrow?

Jeongin:
Wow totally something I want to read first thing in the morning
But no I haven't

Changbin:
It's like 12 mate

Jeongin:
Boohoo

Changbin:
Meet me at Cozy Corner Café and wear something red

Jeongin:
Don't tell me what to do

Changbin:
Loser
I'll be wearing black btw

Now, time to let Cupid play his part. (Ew that sounds so cringe)

Chan watched as Jeongin tried looking for someone, and then he realized Jeongin was wearing a red jacket, the same one he had worn last Valentine's Day.

Then it finally hit him, Changbin was trying to set him and Jeongin up on a date. That sneaky bitch.

"Uhm, Jeongin?" Chan called out before he knew what he was doing.

The younger turned his head to Chan and smiled. Chan beckoned him over and invited him to sit down.

"What brings you here?" Jeongin asked.

"Changbin invited me here, I can't find him though."

Jeongin looked surprised. "He also invited me here, look." He showed Chan the messages Changbin sent him.

Chan decided to pull his phone out as well to show Jeongin the ones Changbin sent him.

Jeongin chuckled, realizing what Changbin had done. "What a sneaky guy."

Chan grinned, feeling a mix of excitement and relief. "Guess we are both victims here. Why don't we make the most of it and I'll go buy us some drinks?"

Jeongin blushed at Chan's request but agreed. He wondered how red his face got, he could feel how hot they were getting.

What the two didn't realize was that Changbin was here, sitting in one of the corner booths, third wheeling with two of his friends. He took many photos of the two, ready to show them the next day.

Their date had gone great for both of them. They talked a lot and found out they liked a lot of the same things.

Unfortunately, neither of them had the guts to ask the other out. So it was now up to Changbin to get these two into a relationship.
