To say Minho was surprised when Hyunjin asked him to join in on a double date was an understatement.

See, Minho is the only one out of his friend group who is single. Well, his friends don't know that. He's too embarrassed to actually admit he's single so he keeps telling them he has a boyfriend. So when Hyunjins asks, Minho gets nervous.

"Uhhh y-yeah. Yeah! Just let me ask him and I'll get back to you." Minho stuttered out, resisting the urge to avoid eye contact so Hyunjin didn't know he was nervous.

Hyunjin smiles, quickly packing his things to leave. "Okay, just message me or Jisung (my hyunsung <3) your decision. If you do, it's a nice restaurant so make sure you buy nice clothes." He mockingly blows a kiss to Minho and runs before he can react.

"I do have nice clothes thank you very much!"

It's the next day and Minho still hasn't found anyone to take with him.

He was sitting in his science class, waiting for the teacher to start when he saw Chan walk into the room and sat next to him in their station. The two shared quick greetings before quickly listening to their teacher.

Maybe I should ask Chan? The boys don't know him so that would be good. Would he be okay with that? He's too nice to say no. Maybe I can tell Hyunjin that we want to keep our "relationship" secret. Maybe I can-

His thoughts were interrupted by Chan waving his hand in front of his face.

"Minho? You in there?"

"Yeah sorry, I zoned out for a bit." Minho blinks to get his eyes to focus. Now's your chance, ask him.

"So uhm, I've got a really weird question to ask you." He waited until the elder showed some type of acknowledgment. He takes a deep breath.

"So one of my best friends invited me on a double date yesterday except I don't have a boyfriend even though I told him and everyone in our friend group  that I did and I don't want to embarrass myself when they find out I don't have one so I've been trying to find someone to fake date me but I can't find anyone who they don't know and you're the only other friend I have outside of that group and I wanted to know if you would go with me?"

Minho was practically panting by the time he finished talking and he didn't even know if it made any sense to him. He looks up to see Chan staring at him, with a surprised face and almost turning red.

Minho is quick to correct himself before he forgets. "I mean, it's totally okay if not! I can find someone else."

"I was actually going to say yes." The response surprised Minho, he wasn't actually expecting Chan to say yes. He looks to see Chan smiling at him and he feels his face heat up.

"O-oh! I wasn't actually expecting you to say yes. If it makes you more comfortable, I can tell Hyunjin that we'd rather keep our "relationship" a secret or something. He wouldn't tell anyone and neither will his boyfriend." Minho explains.

"That's fine with me. Which Hyunjin and who's his boyfriend?" Chan asks in genuine curiosity. Minho explains that the two are Hwang Hyunjin and Han Jisung, whom Chan recognised from last semester.

The two continue talking for a while.

"Boys, please pay attention." Mrs Kang says.

Minho and Chan look at each other and let out a laugh, quickly going back to work.

Class ended and Chan waited for Minho outside of class while he was finishing cleaning up.

"You sure you're fine with this?" Minho asked, to which Chan nodded. "I can send you the details later, just make sure you show up in something fancy."

They conversed for a little longer until they had to say their goodbyes.

Minho pulled out his phone and texted Hyunjin that he and Chan would be there.

Minho waited out the front of the restaurant anxiously, scared that Chan had actually stood him up.

That was until he saw a really nice car pull up to restaurant and Chan hopping out of the front seat, thanking and waving at the driver.

"Hey."

"Hi."

They exchange a couple words before making their way inside.

Once inside, Minho is easily able to spot Hyunjin. He was sitting in a booth so that he and Jisung could sit together and Minho and whoever he brought with
him could sit together. It was nice.

Hyunjin and Jisung were also leaning on each other and it made Minho happy.

He saw Chan put out his hand so Minho could grab it. "You ready?"
