"Most people I've seen, seem to prefer creating a circle on the bed, with the pillows near the headboard and the other nesting materials in a ring around it. It's up to you though. Envision the type of nest you'd feel most comfortable in," you said from the doorway. Wade nodded, dumping all the material on the bed and attempting to arrange them in a circle. After about ten minutes he became visibly frustrated and threw a pillow at the window. The object bounced off of the glass with a dull thud and Wade huffed.

"Of fucking course the glass is reinforced. Hate that tech savvy son of a bitch sometimes," he spat, petulantly throwing himself onto the bed. He growled at the mass of material, throwing and kicking the rest off of the bed. You looked on, unbothered.

He turned to lie on his side, looking at you.

"How the fuck am I supposed to do this?"

{I'm sure we'll get the hang of it, Wade}

[Good fucking job, Wade. You're already making his job difficult]

He ignored the voices, continuing to look in your direction. You cocked your head.

"When you sleep, how do you lie down?"

Wade frowned but adjusted his body so that his head was near the edge of the bed, his feet on the opposite end of the mattress. He was laying down diagonally, with the duvet clutched against his torso.

"Do you mind if I come in?"

He paused before shaking his head and you smiled at him gratefully, picking up the material that had been strewn across the floor.

"Would you dislike it if I tried to do it for you, just this once?"

His eyes widened but he shook his head, making to get up.

"Keep lying down like that. I'll try to build it according to your sleeping habits."

"I, okay. Sure."

You approached the bed slowly. "I am aware you're currently in a vulnerable position, and I'm thankful that you're allowing me to help you in your current state. I'll try my best to maintain a respectful distance."

Wade gave a small nod, but continued to study you intently.

You grabbed fleece, placing it onto the bed and letting the material flow towards the omega's legs. You place another one down that overlapped it, creating a backwards figure 3 near the man's body. You layered shirts and pillows on top of it, moving around the bed until you were behind him and creating a semicircle with the fleeces, so that his body was bracketed in between the materials. You layered pillows at his feet, so that his he decides to flip himself over and sleep with his head at the foot of the bed, he could. You then scented the last fleece once more and draped it over his body, the pillows on either side of his torso giving the nest the appearance of a sleeping bag or very low pillow fort rather than a typical nest. You gently lifted his head and place a pillow under it, crouching down near his face to gauge his reaction.

He would have simply seemed shocked, had it not been for the wet sob that escaped his mouth, the sound muffled by the mask.

"Good enough for now?" You asked knowingly, and he nodded, another sob echoing through the room. You slowly and carefully held out your hand, inviting him to grasp it. He did so, tentatively, and gripped your hand hard - your metacarpals grinding together painfully. Your face remained open and kind despite the the pain.

"It's normal to cry. You're probably going to do a lot of that the next few weeks. Don't hold back, mkay? I'd actually be more concerned if you didn't cry."
