"How are you, Mr Wilson?" Dr Lewis asked. Wade crossed his arms.
"Fine."
"How has (Y/N) treated you?"
"Fine."
"Just fine?"
Wade sighed loudly. "He's been really nice, okay. No need to interrogate the guy later."
"Has he done anything to make you uncomfortable?"
"No. He's been sleeping on the couch, helped me make a nest, doesn't scent anything before asking. He's fine."
"He hasn't scented you yet, though?"
Wade paused. "Is he supposed to do that?"
"Usually he should have by now already but if he doesn't think you're ready for it, then I don't think there's a rush."
"You think he'll actually be able to help me?"
Dr Lewis nodded. "You're his second support omega. He did exceptionally well with the first. I didn't think we'd ever get him rehabilitated considering his age and the extent of the abuse. He's doing very well now. You'll likely get to meet him in six months, when he'll be allowed to meet (Y/N) again after the mandatory seperation period."
"Mandatory seperation period?"
Dr Lewis nodded. "A nine month period to see if the omega continues to improve without the support alpha with them. They are not allowed to meet or contact one another during that time."
Wade grimaced. "That makes sense but it sounds shitty."
The doctor nodded. "Most people complain about it, but it's necessary. Especially when the alpha and omega become good friends. There's a risk for dependency, to their detriment."
Wade huffed. "Yeah okay. Whatever. Can I go now?"
Dr Lewis hummed. "Yep. Just tell (Y/N) to come in. You need a blood test done by the end of the week. I'll let (Y/N) know too."
Wade nodded dumbly, stepping out of the office and absentmindedly telling you to go in, ruminating over the conversation with the doctor.
You raised an eyebrow as you walked into the office, scratching at the scent gland on your neck in passing to hopefully soothe him. His scent didn't indicate that he was distressed, but he certainly wasn't okay.
You closed the door. "You've upset him."
Dr Lewis shook her head. "I've given him food for thought."
You stared her down. "You need to be more mindful of what you say to him. He's unbelievably anxious."
"What else have you noticed?"
You paused debating if you should tell her. "Dysmorphia from his scars. Anxiety. He's absolutely out of tune with his designation. He'd never built a nest before," you began. She nodded and wrote something down in her notebook. "I'm also suspecting he's undergone torture and prolonged sexual abuse."
Dr Lewis took a deep breath. "I was afraid of that. Listen if you're not ready to deal with a case like this again we can-"
"Don't even suggest that, Doctor. I'll be fine. Wade is my priority right now. I honestly expected him to be more obstinate but he's good at communicating after some prompting."
Lewis nodded. "I'm glad. He seems to trust you, so keep it up. He needs blood tests done before the end of the week so we can test his hormone levels."
"Yeah. Do you want me to draw his blood or would you prefer we do it at a clinic?"
"I believe Mr Stark has a physician in the tower."
