We sang our hearts out. 'I'll be waiting' by Cian Ducrot was blasting through the radio.
"THIS IS SO AMAZING!" Yelled Ava looking at me. "Hey! Eyes on the road missy!" Laughed lily.
Right now I am in the car with my best friends, Ava and Lily.
Out of the blue Ava wanted to go on a road trip and here we are. As Ava increased the speed, I clutched the seat belt tightly.
"Slow down! Hey!" I yelled making Ava laugh. Of course she was an adrenaline junkie after all!
"Vi, we are in the highway right now!" Ava explained.
"And?! I want to live! I want to go to school on Monday and start my senior year! I don't want to die!" I shut my eyes yelling.
"Vi! We are gonna make it to San Diego. And if there is love written in your fate. You will fall in love with a guy! I am sure." Exclaimed Lily.
Long short story, we are going to San Diego. To Ava's grandparents house. I live in Los Angeles and its been 40 minutes since we left.
I mentally prayed for our wellbeing after all, it was Ava who was driving.
"Don't know about love but i don't want summer break to end." Ava whined making me and Lily laugh.

"Vi, wake up. We are here." I heard Lily's soft voice.
Opening my eyes with great difficulty I mumbled groggily,"We are here? Already?"
"Yeah, you fell asleep." She softly smiled at me.
"Alright girls! Let's get our stuff and go inside. Grandma is waiting." I heard Ava's hurried voice.
I got out of the car and took grabbed my small Duffle bag. I had packed a sundress and bikini also a pair of sneakers.
We made our way inside the massive house.
Woah! Perks of being rich!
"Grams! I missed you soo much!" Exclaimed Ava, as she hugged her grandmother.
"Well I missed you too. I was so happy when you told me that you were coming over." Spoke Ella hugging her granddaughter.
Ella, was a beautiful Lady. She was elegant and amazing. No one would believe if they were told she was 70. She looked much younger. With her grey hair tied in a bun and the long dress she had wore she looked gorgeous.
"Hey Ella!" I said with enthusiasm. As soon as she saw me she pushed back Ava and pulled me into a tight hug "I missed you soo much!" I laughed.
"I missed you too my sweet girl." Ella replied. I moved back and scanned her face. "You are beautiful as ever!" I said with a grin. "Aww, thank you sweetheart." Ella lovingly caressed my cheek
"Hey, hey move back its my turn." Lily interrupted and moved towards Ella. Ava grumbled.
I looked around the garden and it was fascinating.
I have never been to San Diego. Well, I knew Ella because she had visited Los angeles 2 years ago. That was the first time I met her. I face timed her after that. And she is like my grandmother now.
We then walked inside. Her living room was quite the sight and everything screamed old money.
"Now, go and get ready. Let's have breakfast first. Then you all can go to the beach!" Ella instructed.
"Thanks Ella." I said and ran to Ava's room. Seeing me run, both of them started chasing me.
"WAIT! I AM GOING TO TAKE SHOWER FIRST!" Yelled Ava.
Ha! Not happening.
Wait.
I stop running and turn around. Lily looked at me blinking and Ava burst out laughing.
"You guys don't know where my room is!"
Silly me.
"Fine, fine. Now lead the way." I motioned Ava to walk, "You'll take the shower first then me and Lily. Fine?"
"Yep! Wait! Nooo.." Argued Lily.
"Aw, its okay sweetheart." Ava patted her head. Lily huffed and muttered a small alright.
She is upset.
"Lily it's ok I will take shower after you. Okay?" I asked and her eyes lit up.
"Vivi! I love you soo much. You are amazing." She giggled as she hugged me.
"Now let's go? Shall we?" Ava asked. We followed Ava to her room. Lily gasped once we got inside.
As expected, the room was lavish. Ava belonged to a rich and well known family. Ava owned a Porsche, which she loves to death and calls it her own child.
Speaking about how I met her, it was the first day of ninth grade and I was trying to help Lily escape some girls who were bullying her. And that's when we bumped into Ava. I still remember the way Ava spin kicked the girl. She broke her nose and Ava got detention. But then we got along very well. And now we are best friends!
I really admire Ava. She is a bad ass. And Lily she is very smart and is gorgeous. She tops every year.
And me? well I have really bad grades. Like very bad. But I am thankful that my friends help me Or else I would have failed every year.
I lay down in Ava's bed. While Lily was examining all the drawers. Ava doesn't mind.
I took out my phone from my pocket and checked for messages. I had two messages one was from mom and the other was from my dad.
Mom: hey sweetie, let me know once you are there. Ok?
I smiled and texted her back saying that we have reached San Diego.
Dad: sweet, let me know once you are there. Also Ralph misses you.
He had sent a picture of Ralph who had a gloomy expression. I felt bad for him. I didn't even kiss him bye. Ralph was my pet dog.
I replied him with a voice message saying 'I love you Ralph' and 'sorry' maybe it would make him feel good.
I sighed exhausted but excited. I wanted to sleep but forced myself to be up by watching TV until it was my turn to shower.
