(Okay, don't come for me with this time skip. I've had this planned for a while)
TIME SKIP: GRADUATION
Kacey's p.o.v. :
Ellie and I have been together for just over four amazing years and we now have our own apartment and are now getting ready for our college graduation.
"Baby have you seen my cap" Ellie came out of the bathroom asking
"Yes love, Its on the kitchen counter" I laughed "That's like the most important thing, how did you lose that?" I asked
"Have you met me?" she asked walking back to the bathroom. She's right, she will lose the most important things. She has gone through two phones, on her third now, since we got together.
After we were both ready we headed out the door and to the car to drive to the auditorium that graduation is going to be held in.
I've been so excited for this day for weeks, not only because we are graduating, but I am also proposing to Ellie today. I have already talked to both of our parents, hers gave me their blessing to marry their daughter. Let's just hope that she says yes!
We got to the auditorium, said hello to our parents, then made our way to our seats. Since we don't have the same last name or the same first letter of our last name, we had to sit separately.
Soon after all the graduates found their seats, they started calling names, first with the valedictorian and their speech, then everyone else.
"Kacey Evans" the Dean called my name and I walked the stage, getting my degree and shaking hands.
"Ellie Moore" he called my girlfriends name and I cheered. She walked the stage, got her degree and shaking the hands of the dean and the professors.
After they finished calling all the names the dean announced "Congratulations class of 2023!" and everyone cheered throwing their caps and hugging each other. I found my cap and Ellie and we walked to our families.
"I did it momma" I said going to hug my mom
"You did sweetie" she smiled hugging me back
My dad and brother walked over "When are you doing it?" my loudmouth brother asked
"Shut up, stupid. She is right there" I shushed him and walked over to my beautiful girlfriend.
I grabbed her hand "Come here for a minute, love" I pulled her over between our families so they could all see and hear.
"Ellie Moore" I started getting on one knee, which is hard considering in still in my graduation gown, "I love you with my whole heart and I want to spend the rest of my life with you." she started tearing up "Will you make me the happiest woman on the planet and marry me?" I asked. My heart beating a thousand beats per second.
She gets on her knees so she is looking at me level, reaches in her pocket and pulls out a black box matching the one I was holding "Yes" she said and we stood up hugging as out families cheered.
"You stole my idea" she laughed while I wiped her happy tears away with my thumb and I laughed.
