"Hi Michelle!" said the Mackleberry twins as they waved while I walked into Mrs. Simpson's car. I climbed into the trunk and sat across from a boy I didn't really know. "Hey, dork you're sitting in my shadow!" he said lifting his fist to hit me. Immediately I moved to the side so I wouldn't be sitting in his shadow, "Sorry." I spoke. "What you're too good to sit in my shadow?" he asked almost as if he was insulted, I wouldn't sit in his shadow anymore. I decided to ignore him for the rest of the day if he wasn't going to make up his as to whether I could sit in his shadow.

"Aw! I forgot my math book." I said to Mrs. Simpson after looking through my backpack. "That's ok, I'll go over to your house and get it," Mrs. Simpson said. We all drove up the driveway to my house and all the other children in the car gasped, which I understood why it was a very extravagant-looking house. "Wow, your mother must dance at the nicest strip club in town!" said the boy who I was ignoring. I looked in the rear-view mirror in the driver's seat to make sure Mrs. Simpson wasn't looking and when I saw she focused on the driveway up to the front door of my house, I grabbed that boy by the collar of his neck and gave him the hardest glare I could muster.

"Don't you ever talk about my mother again, do you understand?!" I whispered making sure he understood how serious I was. The boy looked scared, so I knew my job was done and he knew not to say anything about my mother ever again. I let go of his shirt when my Papa came out the front door with the math book I had left behind by mistake.

"Michelle my Piccola Principessa here is your book, and never forget the divisor goes into the dividend," Papa said as he kissed my head before handing me the math book. I smiled saying, "Yes Papa." I was happy because he always said he wanted me to get a good education and do my best in school. I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before we drove off.

"That was Fat Tony!" Mrs. Simpson's son said in awe. "Your dad's a mob boss?" said the boy who I was ignoring. He started begging with the same look of fear on his face and eyes as when I had threatened him earlier. "Please don't have me whacked! I was just having fun. Wasn't it fun?" he said as he tried to make excuses for his behavior earlier. He laughed nervously, "Oh, fun is so fun! There is no mafia" He looked around nervously before pulling his shirt over his head and ending this nervous act with "Columbus Day is better than Christmas".
