Here's what Moe looks like for those who might not no:
"Hey, there Michelle! How's your old man?" Moe asks. "Hi, Mr. Moe he's doing fine thanks for asking," I reply. "I've got Buzz Cola for you, that's been chilled to perfection." He announces as he brings it out from under the bar. "Thank you, Mr. Moe," I say opening the drink and sipping. "No problem, sweetheart. Now what can I get for the rest of youse guys?" he asks everyone else.
"Gin and Tonic," Skinny says.
"Coke and Rum." Marbles adds.
"Just Duff beer," Louie says.
"Same here," Johnny says.
"None for me thanks I'm the designated driver." Legs says.
"Coming right up," Moe says getting our drink orders ready. "Let's go sit in that booth over there," I tell everyone. We all walk over to the booth on the far-left side of the wall. Skinny and Marbles sat to the left side of the booth, Johnny and Louie each sat at either side of me on the right side of the booth waiting for our drinks. Legs sat at the bar and watched for me to signal him to let Moe know whether we'll have to hurt Skinny and Marbles. The signal for "yes" is me asking for a glass of ice to cool down my soda some more. The signal for "no" is me asking to use the bathroom, which is when Moe is ordered to give us back the $200 and act as if everything is normal.
"Can I ask you guys something?" I asked. "Sure, little lady. What's on your mind?" Skinny says.
"Do you guys know how much my best friend Lisa wanted to play with you guys? Just to have you guys give her that terrible nickname, pick her brother who literally knows nothing about jazz, and laugh in her face. She idolizes you guys you know." Skinny and Marbles looked shocked at what I said, "We didn't mean to hurt her feelings honest; we were just joshing her." Marbles said as Skinny agreed nodding his head along to what his friend was saying. "Oh. I thought you guys were being hurtful on purpose." I said acknowledging the misunderstanding. "I'll tell you what, the next big concert we have we'll personally invite Lisa on stage with us and make sure she knows just how talented she is. How does that sound?" Marbles suggested. "Fantastic," I said.
"Here's your drinks people," Moe says as he brings over each of our drinks. "I'll be right back; I've just got to use the lady's room. You guys enjoy yourselves." I told them. After all the men finished their drinks, Legs dropped them off back at their apartments and drove the rest of us home. Which is good considering I was getting kind of tired from being up all night.
I walked to the front door and saw that Papa had been waiting for me.
