E : I know we don't talk about this often. But..I've been wondering about something for a while now..
L : ...what is it?
E : I...
Eren began to sweat nervously. He's not sure how Levi would react, especially since it would be a significant change for the both of them...
E : um.. sorry- I'm nervous haha..
L : ...
Levi has no idea what he's trying to say, and whatever it is, he's afraid to listen. If Eren is nervous, he should be as well. So as Eren stared at the solemn raven, he took a deep breath in and out with a small shaky chuckle escaping his lips.
E : I know we moved into this place recently. And I know you and I go out to have fun often and all. But I've come to realize I want more than just that. You're getting older as time passes and it wouldn't do any good to our..future child.
L : ...go on.
E : I want to have a baby with you, Levi.
The raven's pupils dilated. He was taken aback by how unexpected and shocking this was. Eren's desire to be a father at such an early age surprised him. But he is right; the longer they wait, the older Levi becomes. If they waited any longer, they both know Levi wouldn't make it to see his child as an adult.
E : I only have two years left to live. And waiting longer to have a child wouldn't do any good to you.. So..if you want...we can try today, and if not, that's okay.
Eren's remark made Levi's heart sink. He frequently forgets about his ability, and when he remembers, he overthinks a lot of things. He finds it difficult to imagine himself without Eren, and he is scared of losing him.
L : Honestly, I thought of that too. But I never brought it up because I know you're young and want to have fun. So, you definitely caught me by surprise right now.
Levi smiled.
L : I would like to, Eren. I want to have a child with you. I want to have a family.
Relieved, Eren embraced Levi tightly. He's so happy.
E : Fuck, I'm crazy happy you agreed.
L : I'm glad you brought it up now rather than later.
Eren let go of the hug and kissed his partner on the forehead before gazing down into his silver eyes.
E : Want me to go get the potion now? Or do you want to try at a different time?
L : Now.
E : Okay, I'll be back.
Swiftly, Eren got up and left the bedroom, leaving Levi thrilled.
