Third-Person P.O.V.

Today was Zeke's birthday...that's obvious based on the title, however, today is also the first time both Eren and Levi celebrated it. However, since the family and Zeke were the only ones celebrating, they didn't create anything excessive. Nevertheless, Zeke felt happy and appreciated for their efforts.

...too appreciated.

As we know, Levi isn't one to express his emotions that well, but because of Eren, he learned how to gradually. It shouldn't come as a surprise to you that he's now more expressive, to which when he showed his utmost gratitude and respect for the blond, that same male was...baffled. Flabbergasted. In disbelief. So much so, that he didn't know what to say. He was utterly speechless.

Levi : Zeke, I mean it. This entire situation, it's big and...and it has been eating me alive slowly. To see that you're putting in all this effort for someone who is simply your step-brother, truly shows what a genuinely good person you are. It reveals the..depth of your care for him, and that alone has changed my perception of you a while ago. Your dedication to this has caused me to express my gratitude for the tons of effort you've been putting into this for quite some time now, so that's why I'm even telling you this to begin with.

Levi chuckled, his arms crossed and his face full of sincerity. He didn't give a fuck if he sounded cheesy at this point. All he gave shits about was the work this man had been putting into this situation.

Eren on the other hand was rubbing his husband's shoulders in content. Observing the way Levi expressed himself was...sweet, for sure. It wasn't new entirely, Levi had been more expressive for some time now, but it hadn't been more than a month since he changed like this.

Zeke : It means a lot hearing that from you, Levi,

The blond smiled warmly at the raven, and then at the brunet.

Z : You two deserve to have your happy ending just like everyone else.

Levi furrowed his eyebrows, not in an angry manner, but more in an 'I'm about to cry' manner. He lowered his head, looking down at some concrete and attempting to not tear up. Eren knew, he pushed Levi's head towards his chest and held him there as Zeke only looked at his step-brother with confusion. Eren mouthed, 'He's emotional' to the blond, hoping he understood, to which he did and shot him an understanding nod.

Eren : Well, aside from all this talk, why don't we start to celebrate? I know there aren't many people here but, your birthday did land on a day where everyone-aside from us-is occupied with something...

He spoke sheepishly and held a sad smile.

Z : Oh no, don't worry I completely understand. We all have lives, I didn't expect to even be here at all.

He chuckled.

Z : I'm much happier spending time with my step-brother and his family rather than anybody else.

The brunet blushed lightly, not used to someone calling his husband and Erin his family. No doubt, they are, but he's never heard it out loud from someone other than himself or Levi-or at this point, he just might not remember if someone has or hasn't. Either way, hearing it made his stomach flutter with joy. As if he was the happiest man on earth to have the cutest and best family ever. It just made his confidence boost like crazy, and now, he feels like showing off his precious family to everyone.
