The year was coming to an end, and students were wrapping up their grades and relationships. Rumors were that everyone was breaking up for the summer or the quite opposite, getting together. Mylah and Oliver broke up after an egoistic fight. Everyone predicted that. George and Angelina Johnson were hanging out more than usual. Verah and Ameylia were betting on them hooking up.
And finally, Ameylia had more than one rumor. Everyone noticed her and Fred Weasley's little chats in the halls, their breakfasts together. But there were also rumors of Ameylia and Grant Louis, them always teaming up during quidditch practice or Herbology where the last rumor stood; Theo Nott. Now this rumor was the biggest, as he was a Slytherin and she was a ravenclaw and those type of relationships weren't common. But Ameylia was just friends with all these boys.
"Sign my yearbook, Amey?" Angelina asked, as all the students were spread out with large leather books in their hands, asking around. Ameylia signed it and hugged Angelina, moving onto the next person's.
"If you're going to sign Theo and Grants too, then don't bother signing mine." Ameylia looked up from her pencil to see Fred with a tight expression. She laughed.
"What's that supposed to mean?" She asked, signing Sia's book. The girls hugged tightly as Fred closed his book.
"Just rumors, I s'pose." He said, annoyance lingering in his voice.
"I can be friends with other boys than you, believe it or not." Scoffed Ameylia, walking away and signing Theo's yearbook.
"What's his deal?" Asked the boy, his blue eyes trailing across Ameylia's signature.
"Dunno, but he's acting more like a Slytherin than you." She said, lifting her pencil. "Sorry. That was rude."
Theo laughed as Grant walked over. "You two want to sign my yearbook?" He asked, giving Theo a pen. They both did so, Ameylia leaving a little note.
"'Have a great summer, try not to get poisoned. ~ Granger'" Grant read aloud and laughed. "Yeah I'm sure I'll be fine. I'm not stupid like you."
Ameylia smacked the boys arm and let them sign her yearbook which she'd left on the table for anyone to sign. She closed it when they were finished and the last bell rang, allowing the kids to flee.
Everyone raced down the hallways, eager to leave the school. Ameylia took notice to all the professors saying goodbye, but Quirrel was missing.
"He got fired." Verah said, noticing her friends confusion. "Got caught snooping in Dumbledore's office. Freak." She turned to the girl. "What are you up to this summer?"
"I guess I'm going home." Ameylia sighed, biting her lip.
"That sucks." Verah sighed, "I'd invite you over for the summer but, Bill is coming home and we're having a reunion."
"No, yeah, you have fun." Ameylia smiled fakely, hugging the ginger girl before she sprinted off to join the rest of her family.
Ameylia strutted towards the door, slipping out to board the train back to the station. Her mother probably forgot Ameylia's existence, so she'd have to call a taxicab.
