Chapter 9

America pov.

Goldie came into the living room saying lunch was prepared, and told us to gather in the dinning hall.

"Hey, thanks Goldie, follow me UN, the others should be there shortly." I told UN. He nodded and followed me to the dinning hall. I sat down in my normal spot and UN mirrored my actions. Russia joined us, and sat next to me, a seat down from where Dixie sits, and Maple and Goldie sit in the seats on my left and right. We waited for a bit, while the others walked in. 'I hope they remember Hawaiian.' I thought to myself. I looked to Maple to translate for Russ.

"E ho'āʻo kāua e hele i ka ʻaina awakea, ʻaʻole ʻo ia e noho lōʻihi ma ʻaneʻi, lōʻihi wale nō e ʻike i kā mākou hana, no laila ua lawa kēia." NATO told us. (Let's try to get through lunch, he's not going to be here for long, just long enough to see how we're doing, so this should be enough.)

"What was that?" UN asked.

"Nothing, it's just one of the native languages within my country." I told UN.

"NATO Ke ho'āʻo nei ʻoe e hopu iā mākou?" I asked my daughter. (NATO are you trying to get us caught?) She shook her head, I let out a small sigh.

"Ua maikaʻi nā hōkū, e noho mālie a ʻike mākou he palekana ia no nā keiki." Maple told me, Goldie agreeing with him. I looked at Russia and sighed again. (Stars it's fine, just stay calm until we know it's safe for the kids.)

"E aʻo ana au iā Rūsia ma hope." I told them. (I'm going to teach Russia later.)

"E hele no ia, e maʻalahi ia i ka wā lōʻihi, hiki iā mākou ke hāʻawi i nā memo, a hiki iā ia ke hui pū me mākou." Goldie agreed, Maple nodded in agreement. (go for it, it will be easier in the long run, we can still pass notes, and he can join us.) The rest of lunch went off with out a hitch and went smoothly. Once UN's visit came to an end I drove him back to where I picked him up from, and came back to the house. Once I made it inside I saw the kids and countries having fun.

"Ame, come join us!" Aussie called out to me. I walked over and sat down next to Russia.

"Russia, I need to talk to you later." I told the Russian next to me.

"Ok." He responded.

"Alright kids, what did you guys want to play?" Maple asked.

"You should know not to ask 'em that Nada." Dixie told him.

"Let's play hide and seek, the places we can't go are still forbidden. Now, Dad, Uncle Dixie, and Russia, you three are the seekers." Montana told us.

"Alright, we're starting in the office you have 3 minutes to hide." I told them, Russ, and Dixie followed me to the office.

Texas pov.

I walked quickly to one of my favorite spots for hide 'n seek, it was small but it worked well. I'm not sure if anyone else knows about this spot, but it's mine for now.

"Ready or not here we come!" Dad yelled from the office, everyone went quiet. "Dixie, take the east wing, Ruski take the west wing, I'll check in the main hall." Dad told them.

"Meet back in 15." Uncle Dixie told them.

"Yeah, that should be enough time to find everyone." Russia agreed. I heard their footsteps get quiet as they walked away, and I let out a small breath to remain quiet. I listened for dad's voice and footsteps. I heard dad walk into the kitchen and open the fridge.

"Found you Alaska, nice spot, but please don't hide in there again." Dad told her.

"Ok, I won't dad." She agreed, I heard her walk back to the living room. Dad was still in the kitchen. He walked around for a bit, and I heard shuffling in a cabinet on the far end of the kitchen.

"Found you Rhodie, you too Hawaii." Dad told my siblings. They sighed as he corralled them into the living room. 'Damn, he's too close.' I thought, making sure I'm absolutely still. I heard dad walk around into the dinning hall, and started to look around. Dad moved some chairs and put them back. I heard dad freeze, then I heard footsteps entering the living room.

"Damn, I can't believe we got caught." Consin said as he walked into the living room from the east wing.

"Uncle Dixie always finds us, we shouldn't be that surprised Wisconsin." Rolltide told him.

"Yeah, hey Rhodie, Hawaii, and Alaska, did dad find you?" Consin asked the others.

"Yeah, I think there are two or three others in the kitchen and dinning hall, I'm not sure who though." Rhodie told them. 'Alright, so there are more in this area, and I'm pretty sure dad heard them talking as well. I need to be even more careful now. It wasn't long after that when I heard heavier footsteps coming from the west wing, and dad's in the dinning hall.

"Я казаў вам, што мы павінны былі схавацца ў іншым месцы, тым больш, што Расія шукала ў гэтым крыле." I think Belarus told the other person he was with. (I told you we should have hid somewhere else especially since Russia was the one looking in that wing.)

"Так, прошу вибачення." Ukraine told him, 'Alright, at least I'm learning the difference in some of the Slavic tongues.' (Yeah, I apologize.) I listened carefully and I couldn't heard dad's footsteps anymore. I looked over at the door to where I hid. It opened slightly and dad peeked in.

"Found you Lone Star. That's a really good spot." Dad told me. I nodded and joined the others on the couch.

~After the game~

Britain pov.

After the game of hide and seek, Ukraine and Belarus agreed to make dinner for the night.

"Oye Hermanos, ven aquí, Flori tiene algo que quiere mostrarte y traer a Australia contigo. Tengo la sensación de que le gustará." Mexico called out. (Hey. Brothers come here, Flori has something she wants to show you, and bring Australia with you. I have a feeling he'll like it.) I saw Ame, Canada and Confederate get up. Ame walked over to Australia and whisper in his ear, Aussie nodded and got up as well. They left the room, and the Military branches entered the living room.

"Niemcy, let's go outside, I think I saw a swing set in the yard." Poland told Germany.

"Alright, let's go." He replied, making Poland happy. They walked outside and one of the branches followed them.

"Delaware!" NATO called out to her sibling.

"Coming, give me a moment Flower, I'll be back, why don't you go play with Japan while you wait?" Delaware told his sister, redirecting her attention to the country in the yard. The pacific islander ran out side to greet her neighboring country. I got up to head back the room Ame is letting us use for our year here, and found France, New Zealand, and DC talking.

"Oh hello Britain, how are you doing as of currently?" DC asked me.

"I'm fine, thank you for asking." I replied.

"Alright then, thank you both for speaking with me, I will be taking my leave." DC told them, and shifted passed me into the hallway closing the door behind her.
