This is it, my friends. The last chapter of this story is officially yours.

A soft smile appears on the brunette's lips as she sees her reflection through the mirror. Her hair has been curled, and it falls softly on her shoulder. A red flower crown rests on the top of her head, perfectly complimenting her dress. The look is simple, yet it makes her look like a princess. It's everything she always dreamed of.

"Oh, Josie..." The brunette turns around to look at her mother coming into the room. Caroline has a hand over her mouth, and tears in her eyes. "Sweetie, you look absolutely beautiful."

Josie's smile grows as she slowly turns back to the mirror, looking at herself again. She tilts her head to the side as she watches her mother walking closer to her through the mirror.

"Thank you, mom."

"Are you ready to go down?" Caroline places her hands on her daughter's shoulders. "Everyone is waiting for you."

Josie nods. "Yeah, I'm ready."

The brunette loops her arm with her mother's as Caroline leads them out of the room. As they make their way down the stairs and out of the house to go to the garden where the guests are waiting for the wedding, Josie's thoughts start to wander.

She can't help but think of everything she went through with Hope ever since they woke up together in Las Vegas a year ago. At first, Josie never would have thought that their drunken wedding would last, but Hope managed to worm her way through the brunette's heart in a little less than six months.

Together, they made it through the jealousy, the trust issues, the suspicion of their families and so much more. It all flashes through Josie's brain in quick succession. Hope running away from Mystic Falls after Josie refused to let her in. Klaus pushing Hope to get a divorce once he understood just how little they knew of each other. Finch kissing Josie at Kaleb and Jed's wedding, and Hope running away again.

Josie slightly shakes her head to get rid of those thoughts, and decides to focus on the good that came out of it all.

The laughs they shared, their first kiss, their first time, the house they chose together... She thinks back to their trip to Paris. The city of love definitely did wonders for their relationship. After spending a week together with nothing to do except get to know each other and go on romantic dates, Josie and Hope came back to Mystic Falls stronger than ever.

They are still a work in progress, but the Saltzman woman just knows it can only get better from then on. There is no doubt in her mind anymore.

Hope is the love of her life.

The cheers are almost enough to make Josie want to cover her ears. Instead, the brunette's smile gets wider, practically going from one ear to the other. She can see everyone she loves around the garden, all of them looking at her with happiness written all over their faces. Caroline squeezes her arm to get her attention, and as she looks over to her mother, Josie realizes her vision is blurry. There are tears in her eyes, but they haven't made their way down her cheeks yet. Caroline gestures for Josie to look ahead. As soon as her eyes fall onto her wife, Josie can't hold back the tears anymore.

On the other side of the garden, Hope is standing with a smile so bright it could blind someone. She's wearing a dress that matches Josie's, except for white flowers in her hair. Her hair is falling into waves down her back.

The brunette's heart almost stops at the sight. She might have never seen someone as beautiful as Hope Mikaelson.

Maya is standing by Hope's side, and on the side Josie will soon be, Lizzie is waiting for her sister. Klaus stands in the middle, and when his eyes meet Josie's, the man winks, making the brunette giggle. They really came a long way.
