Blinking a few times, your eyes adjusted to the darker environment of the sewers. It had come as a shock to you that these handsome creatures were forced to live in the waste of humans. But, then again, you understood why they needed to remind hidden and secret. Some people could be very arrogant and not able to understand them well.
Your feet made splashing sounds as all five of you walked down the pipes in complete silence. A few bugs whizzed by, the noise of their wings startling you. In the moment of surprise you flailed your arms around, losing balance as your foot got caught on a metal can. Just as you were about to collide with the nasty floor, strong arms whisked you into the air. "Sorry!" You exclaimed, opening your eyes. Raph was giving you an intense look. He quickly looked away and put you down roughly, catching up with the brothers. "Wait up guys!" You called. Mikey had already disappeared into their "lair" and Donnie was just rounding the corner. Leo paused and waited for you to walk with him as Raph eyed the two of you suspiciously.
Once you entered the gigantic room you were amazed. Tons of pipes lined the walls and beautifully decorated living areas were set up in sort of a make-shift home. A large sofa was situated in front of a massive TV stand, where boxes of pizza were piled up on top of each other. The kitchen had more boxes of pizza and a few soda cans lying about.
"Sorry, the place is a mess. We weren't really expecting company." Leo sighed, putting a hand behind his back. He looked awkward and guilty.
You laughed a little and gazed at him before moving your vision across the room again. This time you locked eyes with a giant rat. A mutant rat. Before you reacted, you made sure to straighten up and dust off your clothes.
"Hello, I'm (Y/N). Pleased to meet you!" You said softly. He gave you a passionate smile and came over to embrace you in a hug. It was weird, but you didn't want to offend anyone. So you hugged him back tightly and then stepped back as he did.
The large rat eyed you with caution and replied. "My name is Hamato Yoshi. You may call me Splinter, or Master Splinter. I am these young turtles' father. I hope you have gotten a good impression of our family, yes?" He asked. You nodded, a slight blush coming to your cheeks as you recalled your first encounter with Raphael.
The brothers let out a sigh of relief as he took you with him into his room. Raph couldn't help but watch with a slight edge. What was this feeling? Why did he want you to stay behind and come sit with him? Why was he being so weird lately? And why did you keep popping into his mind so often?
