Making sure that you knew he was the strongest around. Even if he had to fight with a bunch of fifth graders to prove it to you.

One of them had called your dress stupid, and he tried to fight all four of them.

He won, because of course he would. He had already burned it into your young mind he was the best even at his age. He was willing to defend your honor in order to prove just how great he was. He was the only one who was allowed to mock how silly your outfits were, or how your hair was done each day. You could see the way he had tears in his eyes by the end. Sniffling and sulking at the new set of bruises and cuts he endured to save your pride.

But he did it for you.

None of the bullying stopped just because you started actual school either. If anything, it got worse. His teasing, the way he refused to call you by your actual name. The only way he would refer to you was your title from when you were kids.

Princess.

He said it in such a derogatory way that you felt the sting of it each time it hit your ears. Like it burned his mouth each time he had to mutter that word to gain your attention. Sitting heavily on his tongue and he had to spit it out, or he would choke.

But as time went on you tried to ignore him as much as you could. All the way into his last year of middle school you found your own ways to combat his abusive behavior.

When he tried to pull on your hair when you walked to class, you simply keep your hair down and out of the way. He started tugging on your skirts. Threatening to show your underwear to the entire school. You started wearing leggings underneath everything. When he called you princess, you acted clueless about who he was referring to. All but ignoring his words and tactics to set you off.

But what you couldn't ignore was the way he still picked on Izuku. Or play fighting as your parents saw it. But they never saw the way his eyes would turn feral at the chance to fight.

The first and only time you gathered enough courage to stand up to him. Was the last time he ever openly bullied Izuku in front of you again. You lashed out pushing him back as hard as you could manage, throwing your arm back. And swung at him with all the power you could muster. It managed to bust his nose, throwing his head back at the force you used against him.

But all he did was laugh at you.

Deep and vibrant crimson leaking from his nostril he laughed. He wiped at the blood before it made its way down his neck. Staring at it on his fingertips as he decided on how to handle your outburst.

He took you up on your challenge and you were once again on the receiving end of his anger.

The only problem was it was never a fair fight against him. He outweighed you, and his ability to dodge and punch was a lot faster than your own. Each swing you tried to take after that first one never landed. He was quick to dodge and smack your hand away.

You left your first lesson on how to fight leaning on Izuku for support. He let you use him as a crutch to help with the ankle you twisted in your scuffle. The new and proud owner of ugly-looking bruises and a pair of scraped knees. Running the last pair of good leggings you had in the possess.

You made it home in one piece thanks to your green-haired friend.

But it seemed like Katsuki was faster to make it back to your house than you were. Your mother scolded you as you limp in the doorway. A smug-looking ash blonde hanging out on your couch. Apparently, he told your mom that you had picked a fight with an upperclassman, over a boy.

He conveniently left out the part it was him who you fought against.

But of course, being a good friend he graciously offered to help bandage you up. Your mother was clearly to upset by seeing you in a messy state that she didn't want to deal with helping you.
