Outside Meetings

Lucy sat in her house reading the latest book she had picked out from a local bookstore that was in town. Surprisingly when she got in to the store, she saw Levy Mcgarden, an old school friend of hers.

"Lucy Heartfilia, is that you?" A small voice quiped.

"Levy McGarden, I haven't seen you since I left for medical school." Lucy walked over to her, embracing her.

"I know; we haven't kept touch like we said we would've done but I'm glad you're back, we can hang out like the old days." Levy smiled.

"I'm glad too, I got a job as the school nurse at Fairy High; I'm being trained by Porlyscia Marvel, she's really cool." Lucy sat down with Levy.

"I believe she's the sister of Grandine Dragneel, the woman who's married Igneel Dragneel. Their company is the one that has the diamond and gold mine in three different countries." Lucy marveled at the information; if they were the parents of Natsu Dragneel, then how come he wasn't in a private school.

"That's really cool, who would have thought that an empire like that was around here." Lucy eyed the book near her chair, but moved onto talking about the things that were happening around town and what they were doing now. Lucy thought that running into Levy and catching up was the best thing she had done since she got here a month ago. Lucy once again eyed the book beside her.

"You can borrow if you like, you were always a good speed reader anyway." Levy winked at her.

"Really? Thank you so much, Levy! I really appreciate it, I'll bring it back in one piece." Lucy picked up the book and walked out. She was glad to have run into her, they were together most of their lives in the advanced placement school they attended. Their intellect always completed, now Levy was an advanced literature professor at Era University for the online department. She did her work from the bookstore her parents owned.

~At Home~

Lucy put the book down she had been reading. She had finished reading it in a short time and decided on looking for something to cook for herself and her father. Lucy walked into the kitchen but couldn't find anything to pique her interest. Lucy picked up her car keys and made a list ingredients to buy; she stopped outside a nearby grocery shop and began her shopping.

Lucy walked around, looking at the selection of dairy until someone came behind her and tapped her on her shoulder. She turned around and saw Natsu Dragneel standing behind her.

"Natsu, it's such a surprise to see you shopping." Lucy smiled.

"Yeah, I don't usually do this but my sister insisted that I take her to buy blueberries to make blueberry pie." Natsu pointed at the small girl walking to meet them.

"Natsu, look I found the blueberries and I found strawberries." The blue haired girl showed Natsu the fruits in her hand.

"Wendy, this is the school's nurse, Lucy Heartfilia. Lucy, this is my little sister, Wendy; she's the blueberry wanter." Natsu pulled her ears as she smiled, only to have his hand batted away.

"Wow, you're really pretty! How old are you?" Wendy said with curious eyes and ears.

"I'm seventeen, I justed started at your brother's high school." Lucy said.

"What?! You're seventeen and you're already a nurse; you must be super smart." Wendy praised.

"Thanks Wendy; I always liked helping people so I decided that maybe being a nurse would help me achieve that goal." Lucy smiled thinking of her mother.

"I want to be a nurse too, just like my aunt." Wendy laughed. Lucy smiled, opening her phone to check the time only to realize it was getting late and she had to be home before her father.

"Natsu, Wendy, I really have to go but I would love to do this again." Lucy hugged Wendy and Natsu and ran to register her items and leave.

Natsu watched her leave, within the short time they had talked, he felt butterflies in his stomach and his heart felt warmer. The ancients were speaking to him he thought and they were telling him that Lucy Heartfilia would be his one and only.
