Epilogue

Lucy was awakened by the sound of birds squawking and cool breeze blowing through open doors. She opened her eyes to the slight wind blowing through white curtained double doors. Her first assumption was to think that she been dreaming but it was too vivid to imagine a place where she had never been before. She got out of bed and quickly grabbed an oversized button up shirt hanging from the side of the bed that she had found herself in. Her memory what happened was returning to her and a blush spread across her face as the details came flooding back to her mind.

She walked over to the doors and walked onto a beautifully fenced balcony, overlooking a blue and green ocean. The waves crashed against the shore, a sort of music to her ears as she closed her eyes to fully take in the surroundings that were making her calm down but wary of how she go there.

The flapping of wings made her stiffen, thinking about an enemy after the fight she had been through but noticed they were only seagulls leisurely passing by, ducking down into the ocean looking for food. She noticed herself that her stomach was growling up a storm. She hadn't eaten in a while and the hunger had kicked into overtime.

"You know, you should go take a shower. You've been sleeping for two days and I've had to fend for myself for all that time." A very familiar voice had slightly filled her in on the situation of when, but what about the where and why? Where were they and why were they there?

"What happened? Last thing I remember was us and then I blacked out." Lucy turned around only to be met by Natsu's longing gaze and bright smile.

"Well after you conked out, my parents came to congratulate us on our newly arranged status. My dad said that he didn't think you had it in you to fight like your mother but seems like you proved him wrong; I then replied that it could only that my selection in women was the best ever." Natsu crossed his arms, apparently proud of his decision in making Lucy his mate.

Mate. A word she would have to get used to but she figured that it would with due time. Getting used to Natsu wasn't hard and being with him was going to be the best thing to happen to her.

"So where are we? How did we even get here?" Lucy inhaled the cool sea breeze waiting for Natsu to reply.

"Third house, the Maldives. My favorite vacation spot and now, it's ours. For the honeymoon, of course. We flew or at least, I flew." Natsu walked over extending his arms, pulling Lucy closer and into an embrace. She hugged him back, enjoying the scenery and him.

"So, honeymoon. It's ours for now but how about when we get back? Are we going to live separately and how am I going to explain this to my dad? He doesn't even know you or that I was seeing someone. He's going to be so heartbroken." Lucy squeezed a little tighter hoping to feel better.

"Your dad called me yesterday and told me to take care of you; he said that you and him have a lot to talk about when you got back." Natsu's smiled turned from wide to slightly amused; he didn't know what she was in store for but he would be right there thrashing it out with her and her dad.

"He called? I hope he's okay." Lucy let go of Natsu and guided him to the room.

"He is but where are we going?" Natsu was sure that Lucy was enjoying being outside.

"You said that I needed a shower so you wanna join in?" Lucy winked, letting go his hand and trailed to the open door leading to the shower. Natsu smiled and made a beeline behind Lucy , grabbing her and making her squeal.

"Your Majesty, news has come back about Lord Natsu Dragneel. He has mated a fairy, the daughter of Layla Faye, the last queen of the Fairy Kingdom." The young, dark haired woman reported.

"Thank you, that will be all for now and please do send up my meal with chef." The King waved his servant out.

"Yes sir." She walked towards the door and stepped out, locking behind her. His Majesty stood up and watched out the window of his home.

'Another Dragon to oppose me, this will be interesting son of Igneel.' The King was hellbent on never giving up his seat to anyone and know there was another Dragneel whom stood in his way of an eternal ruling.

He was the mightiest and would prove it, even it meant that he would have to play dirty.

So there we have it!! The book is done with this chapter but a sequel is just over the horizon!!

Who is the King? What gonna happen to Natsu? What does this mean for the newly mated couple?
