It was 8 am. when Jordan knocked on our bedroom door. Waking us up to head downstairs to open our Christmas presents.
Eli was surprisingly very awake even though we only got around six hours of sleep, and I was the one who was struggling to walk straight from the tiredness.
"Merry Christmas, Becky." Eli smiled, bringing me in for a cuddle before getting out of bed.
"Merry Christmas, Eli." I practically melted into his touch. He radiated so much warmth, I just wanted to stay here all day even though I was buzzing with excitement to celebrate Christmas.
Downstairs Ali was making cups of tea for everyone while Paul lit the fire. Eve was cuddled up on the couch with a blanket wrapped around her shoulders, and John was sat criss crossed on the floor beside the Christmas tree, and Jordan beside him with her head on his shoulder.
"Merry Christmas, my loves!!" Ali rushed towards the two of us. Giving the two of us a massive hug.
"Merry Christmas, Ali!!"
"Merry Christmas, Mam."
Me and Eli made our way around the rest of his family. Giving them hugs and wishing each other Merry Christmas.
Ali passed around the mugs of tea as we all took our seats on the sofa and chatted amoungst ourselves.
Under the tree was Santa sacks full of presents. Each sack was personally decorated with the persons name. Ali had gotten one made for me as soon as she found out I was joining them for Christmas.
She was very quick with things like that. With everything really, to be honest.
"Are you cold?" Eli asked, seeing me with my arms wrapped around myself trying to heat myself up.
"No, no. I'm fine. I'll heat up once the fire heats the room up."
"If you're cold, you're cold, Becks. I'll run back upstairs and get the blanket off the bed." He kissed the top of my head and ran back upstairs to get the fluffy blanket.
Eve jokingly tapped her foot, pretending to check the time on her watch that she wasn't wearing.
"If he doesn't hurry up, Christmas will be over." She rolled her eyes.
After a few minutes, Eli rushed back down the stairs, flopping onto the couch beside me, nearly causing me to fall off the couch.
"Elijah, be careful." Ali sighed, shaking her head with a subtle smile on her face.
"Where did you get the blanket from? The fucking desert!?" Eve complained.
"I went for a quick smoke while I was up there. Does that bother you?"
"The fucking smell of it does. Dirty bastard." She joked.
Eli threw a cushion at her, making her dodge it as quick as she could before it hit her right in the face.
"I think that's enough of that!" Paul announced while passing around everyone's personal Santa sack.
I felt slightly embarrassed when I saw how full and heavy the bag was. If there's one thing I hate it's being given gifts.
I don't need people to give me expensive gifts to show me how much they love me or to show me appreciation, but I guess that's one of the big parts of Christmas. The presents.
Everyone started rummaging through their bags, pulling out one individually wrapped gift at a time.
The first present I opened was from Eve. She had gotten me a bottle of my favourite and only real perfume I own. Lost Cherry by Tom Ford.
