When we swam back to shore, Ronal and Tonowari were already waiting for us. They looked very cross, they had saw everything that had happened from the shore.
Lo'ak, Tsireya, Roxto, Neteyam, Ao'nung and I all had their heads down. Tonowari led us back to his Mauri, Ronal walking behind him. When we got there, Tonowari stood in front of us and Ronal finally spoke.
"You allowed this! You allowed him to bond with the Outcast!" Ronal exclaimed at Ao'nung and Tsireya
"Sit." Tonowari said as only Lo'ak, Neteyam, and I kneeled
"I SAID SIT DOWN!" He roared at the rest of them who quickly sat down.
Tonowari put his hands together, blowing into them. Tsireya sat next to Lo'ak, Neteyam on the other side with Roxto, Ao'nung next to him, and I sat in the middle between Lo'ak and Ao'nung.
"Hear my words boy" Tonowari started looking at Lo'ak
By now, Jake and Neytiri had joined us, both looking extremely confused as they sat down outside the Marui.
"Payakan, is a killer, he killed other Tulkun and Metkayina." Tonowari said
I started to get angry. Why was everyone saying that!? He saved us! I looked at Ao'nung who understood my anger, but shook his head as a warning to keep quiet.
"I'm sorry sir, but you're wrong" Lo'ak said firmly
Neytiri gasped in shock, Ronal hissing in irritation as I nodded my head in agreement with my brother.
"Lo'ak! You speak to Olo'eytkan!" Neytiri exclaimed quietly
That's when I spoke up in defense for my brother, my brother's spirit brother, and my new friend.
"He speaks the truth! Payakan saved our lives he is not a killer!" I said to Neytiri
"You don't know him!" Lo'ak added
"You do not speak that way! Payakan, is outcast. Killer or not. It is the Tulkun way!" Ronal hissed at me
"And YOU do not speak to them that way! Tsahìk or not!" Ao'nung snapped at her
I looked at Ao'nung as he held a firm expression towards Ronal. Who hissed in annoyance at her son's antics. Tonowari stayed surprisingly silent, watching the whole thing unfold.
"That's enough!" Jake yelled silencing Lo'ak and I
Finally, Tonowari took in a breath before looking at Tsireya sternly.
"Tsireya. You disappoint me daughter" Tonowari said
Tsireya looked hurt and anger flashed across Lo'ak's eyes. Neteyam gave Tonowari a side eye but stayed silent.
"And you! Son of a great warrior! What do you have to say for yourself!" He said to Lo'ak
"I know what I know." Lo'ak said without hesitation
"I agree with my brother." I said looking at Lo'ak who nodded
Jake then walked over, grabbing my arm tightly and yanking me up I hissed in pain.
"That's enough." Jake said with rage as he motioned for Lo'ak to stand up
Ao'nung looked seconds away from ripping Jake's head off as he clentched his fists so hard the knuckles were white. His eyes burning with fury.
"I'll deal with this one. I apologize for their behavior once again" Jake to Tonowari
Tonowari looked at Jake in disagreement but said nothing. He then dragged me out, Lo'ak, Neteyam, and Neytiri following behind. After we got back to the Marui, he proceeded to yell at the both of us. Mainly at me for letting Lo'ak headfirst into danger and for bonding with the Outcast. I let him release his anger out on me before fighting back with just as much. Lo'ak backing me up every step of the way.
Which ended in Lo'ak and I bolting out of the house towards our secret spot.
