Aaron burst into the West Wing startling everyone who was working there. Well they weren't exactly working, as they were still waiting for news on the President. Aaron could see the concern on all of their faces. Most of them, a few months back, wouldn't really care considering Tom was a fired cabinet member but now they were all worried about him. Aaron put his coat and scarf on the nearest desk and walked forward to face them all.
"Evening everyone." Aaron nodded around the group gathered. Most of them he had worked with for the past few years.
"What's going on Aaron?" One of them asked, speaking for the whole room. "Are you back to take over or here to see whoever's here to take the president's place?"
The whole room acted like they at a tennis match as they swapped their focus between the two people who were speaking. Aaron crossed his arms over his chest.
"I'm here to get rid of the press outside for now anyway. Past that, I don't know." Aaron admitted, not really knowing what he was doing there.
"Well we'll help with that." The man said seeing Aaron feeling a bit alone.
"Alright." Aaron could see the others needed jobs to do. He would have to think fast. "Could the rest of you contact the senate leaders and cabinet? They'll need to know and decide what to do next."
They all gave varying degrees of agreement and went about their jobs. The telephones were on fire for the next few minutes as everyone tried to get in contact with cabinet through their secretaries. True many of them would already be waiting by the phone for news from the West Wing. Aaron put his arms on his hips and watched them, thinking about how to move the press on.
"Need a hand?" The man who spoke up earlier said.
"Yes...." Aaron felt so embarrassed that he didn't even know who he was talking to. The man seemed to take it in good spirits though.
"Adam Plough. I'm part of the press part of the West Wing, that's probably why you don't know me so well." Adam replied before Aaron could embarrass himself further.
Aaron had never felt so relieved to meet someone from Seth's mob. If they were going to get anywhere with the press then he would certainly need someone like him to deal with the press.
"Right come on." Aaron said, patting Adam on the back.

Emily looked across the seat at the now sleeping brother and sister. The car had just about managed to get out of the way before the press could see them. Luckily there hadn't been any cameras flashing to wake the two up. Emily ran her hand through her hair and let out a silent sigh. Her phone then buzzed. She had put it onto vibrate so it wouldn't wake them. Seth's name popped up as she turned her phone on.
"Hope you're alright. Waiting at the hospital for the president to arrive. Hope the press aren't causing you too much stress." Seth never knew how to send small texts!
Emily smirked reading it to herself. She quickly typed a response.
"I've got Penny and Leo with me and we're on our way. Aaron's dealing with the press and I'm fine." She sent send.
A simple heart emoji was sent back to her. Emily then put her phone back in her jacket pocket and looked out of the window. She couldn't see very much thanks to the tint in the windows. Plus with rain now coming down, she wouldn't be able to see much anyway! She sat back in the seat. She had never found the seats to be very comfortable but today they seemed to welcome her. She snuggled into the seat and slowly fell asleep.

Seth smiled as he sent his reply to Emily. It was the best response he could think of at the moment and by how vague her text had been, he didn't want to bother her much anymore. He was in the waiting room of the hospital. He had already got there thanks to one of other agents taking him and Mike, much to Mike's disagreement, to the hospital so Mike's injury could be looked at. Seth had since got the lowdown on Foerstal's injuries as well as communication had been sent from agent to agent.
"Seth." Mike called from behind him.
Seth turned around and saw Mike limp towards him on crutches with a very annoyed doctor in the back shaking his head. Seth helped Mike get to a seat so he didn't put too much stress and pressure on the wound.
"I'm fine." Mike waved him away as he sat down. "Any word from the others?"
"The president's ambulance is on its way. Emily with the kids aren't far behind. Forestal and Hannah shouldn't be too long after that." Seth went through all of the information he had in his head.
"Okay thanks." Mike suddenly reared his head as he heard something outside. "What's all that noise?"
Seth stood up and went to look out of the nearest window. Flashes met him from outside, the press. Seth pulled the curtains on the window shut just to block them out a bit more. He had suspected that it wouldn't be long before they got here but couldn't they wait until the morning! He then turned back to Mike and shrugged but Mike knew he was hiding something. He didn't move however, just in case Seth told him off again. Seth then looked out of the window hoping the blue lights would arrive soon.

Kimble Hookstraten was finishing off for the night. The many papers that had filled her desk that morning were now thankfully gone. She had been working hard all day to get them done so the president and the rest of congress weren't breathing down her neck! However, she hadn't heard from Tom all day which was unusual as she normally had at least one call from him each day, even if it wasn't anything that important.
"Harriet." Kimble called out of her office.
"Yes Madam speaker." Harriet her secretary answered, poking her head around the door to see what she wanted.
Kimble chuckled as Harriet seemed a lot more awake then she did!
"I haven't had any calls from the President today have I?" Kimble tapped her fingers on the desk in front of her. "Well any calls from the White House in fact."
"Not that I know of. Miss Rhodes hasn't called with anything." Harriet shook her head looking through the book of people that had called that day.
"Strange." Kimble muttered before a ringing came from outside of her office.
Harriet went to go and answer it and Kimble began to pack up again. She was quickly stopped however, as another phone began to ring. Kimble looked up from her work as another one of her team answered the second one and then another one and another.
"Harriet what's going on out there?" Kimble shouted trying to be heard over the at least six phones now ringing.
"Madam Speaker turn on the TV." Harriet shouted back.
Kimble was about to shout back something but listened to her secretary. She sat on the edge of her desk and put on her glasses to see what she needed on the remote. She turned on the TV to see what all the fuss was about.
"Oh my God!" Kimble murmured as the breaking news flashed across the screen.
Harriet soon joined her after finally ending her call she had taken. She was carrying Kimble's coat and had several pieces of paper in her other hand which looked like it had phone numbers written across them.
"Ma'am I've just had a call from the White House. You're needed there and meet up with the cabinet." Harriet had never sounded so grave.
Kimble switched the TV off and took her coat from Harriet. She didn't dare to take the pieces of paper just in case Harriet needed them.
"What do we know so far?"
