Too Much Thinking

"It's past your bedtime~~" Moon mocks

He expected you to run, to scream, hell even just fall to your knees and start begging for you life but not-

"I don't, have a bedtime?" you stated, staring back up at him unerved, however your rising intonation indicated to Moon that you were extremely confused.

Moon lowered himself towards you more, so you could see him fully, his legs hooked over the beam and his body hanging limpy underneath, face twisted at an in-human angle to get a good look at you.

"You're Moon, right?" You ask hesitantly, eyes flicking between him and the red string hanging from his hand

"No, what made you think that?" Moon drawled sarcastically, leaning in a little too close for comfort.

Your lack of running and screaming continued to disturb Moon.

"I see we've got a smart one here." He teased, flicking your forehead with his cold metalic fingers.

You flinched in response, rubbing your head to soothe it as you stared at him, unsure of what to think

"but you know what I think would have been even smarter?" 

Your blank confused stare morphs into a look of hesitant intrigue.
"What?"

Moon's grin widens and his pupils flicker out, removing the small source of illumination, leaving his features obsurede by darkness. His eyes empy pits of inky black, the only thing left of him was his malicious smile.

"running."

This seemed to finaly catch you up to speed as you instantly pushed past him and ran into the darkness of the pizza plex

You are running as fast as you can, heart pounding in your chest, desperately searching for a place to hide. You know Moon is after you, but you can't see him anywhere. Instead, he's creepily crawling through the rafters above you, making it nearly impossible to discern where he is. You try to stay calm and keep your wits about you, but the fear is starting to take over.

You hear scurrying sounds that echo through the empty halls of the pizzeria as you dart around a corner, feeling your heart pounding with adrenaline. You have an unshakable feeling of being watched.

As you turn a corner, you hear a faint scraping noise coming from above you. You look up just in time to see Moon's shadowy figure dart across the rafters, moving closer to your location. You pick up the pace, trying to put as much distance between you and Moon as possible.

Panic sets in as you realize you have no idea where Moon is now. You dart left, then right, then left again, searching frantically for a place to hide. Your eyes dart to every corner, every shadow, trying to anticipate where Moon might drop down next.

You spot an open maintenance closet, similar to the one you had been in before and quickly duck inside, shutting the door behind you as quietly as possible. You huddle in the corner, heart racing as you listen for any sound of movement. Minutes pass in agonizing silence, the only noise being the sound of your own breaths.

Just as you begin to relax, you hear a faint scraping sound. It grows louder and louder, until it is clear that Moon is crawling across the ceiling of the closet. You shudder in terror before promptly fleeing back out of your attempted hidding place.

Suddenly, you hear the sound of something clattering behind you. You chance a glance back but see nothing there. When you turn back around your heart momentarily stops as Moon is directly in front of you, his glowing eyes staring directly into yours. You freeze in terror, your mind racing as you try to come up with a plan.

With no time to waste, you make a quick change of direction and run as fast as you can in the opposite direction. You can hear Moon's footsteps echoing behind you as he gives chase, and you know you need to find a new hiding spot quickly before it's too late.

Your heart is pounding in your chest as you sprint down the dark hallway, the sound of Moon's footsteps getting closer and closer behind you, the bells jingling cheerfully like they're antagonising you. You spot a party room up ahead and dash inside, slamming the door shut and locking it with trembling hands.
