Moon has been watching distantly through Sun's eyes for the past few weeks. Resigning himself to his indefinite prison. Experiencing everything through Sun's eyes but never able to affect their actions in anyway, stuck in the passenger seat.

Sun had decided to try cook you breakfast and Moon was hapless as Sun did everything wrong. the toast burnt, the bacon turned to charred remains and the eggs where sending plumes of smoke into the air that irritated their air quality sensors, sending fire alerts all through their system. Moon felt the emotions, he smelt the pungent burning food and all he wanted was for him to move his hands over his face to block out the sensations but no matter how hard he tried they continued to fumble through the kitchen as Sun kept trying to salvage his efforts.

You scolded Sun about the mess on your way out the door to work and though Moon logically knew that you weren't yelling at him, he still felt sick to the stomache, wanting nothing more to yell that it wasn't him, he can't do anything! but their voicebox only continued to transmit Sun's voice, continued only to say
"I'm so sorry! I just wanted to make you a nice breakfast!"
and not, 'Let me out! It wasn't my fault!'

Moon's frustration rose more and more with every stupid thing Sun did.
Messing with and promptly breaking your showerhead and drenching the entire bathroom.
Deciding to try out your clothes and accidentally ripping them due to the fact that they're way bigger than you.
Rearranging the entire house into a 'better system' while you were at work.
And trying to talk with a person on the TV.

Moon doesn't understand why or how Sun can be so naive when it comes to these things. maybe Moon was programed with some basic understanding of normal Human culture and they just forgot to program it into Sun as well.

The more bored Sun became the more disasters that occured and Moon found himself unable to watch, lest he suffer the feeling of being stuck and not in control of in his own body.

So over time, moon found himself more and more distant, no longer in the passenger seat, rather in the trunk, the boot of the car. The more he looked away from Sun's vision, the more he started to see new things, things inside themselves.

A room. Very similar to the daycare, with many play structures and toddler sized plastic tables, but large wires and circuit board walls. as soon as Moon noticed this room, that had always been there but he'd never acknowledged, he became hyper aware of it. Moon finally felt a sense of releif when he found he could move. Weeks of being stuck in his own body, he could finaly move, albeit none of this was probably real, he was in his own head afterall.

Exploring the room, Moon found it unsettling how familir it was despite none of the structures or furniture being in the same place as the daycare. everytime he took his eyes off a spot and turned back he swore it never stayed the same. But of course, it was imaginary, the mind was lucid afterall.

Moon found it pleasant, and never felt the need to question how or why this room exhisted within them.

Moon took this tranquil time to think about his situation. He was here because The lights were always on, because you didn't trust him. That was fair really. He had purposely chased you off to protect themselves. But he had never predicted that the pizza plex was going to go up in flames just a few nights later. despite that he finds that he doesn't regret it. In all honesty he doesn't want to be around you. so maybe being stuck inside their own mind was good.

Why didn't he want to be around you? it's not like he wasn't interested in having a soulmate, and if he thought about it, there wasn't anything about you in particular that he disliked. In fact, contrary to his actions, he really hoped Sun wasn't stressing you out or getting you inadvertenly hurt right now. He hoped you were safe.

Moon raised his hands to his face to inspect them. from inside their mind it was very clear how he thought about them.
Big long claws, sharp as blades, as dark as the night sky. Despite Sun's stupidity and all the hazards he was causing, Moon was 100% confident that Sun was the safest to be around you.

Moon thought about what those claws of his had done.

You were better off without him.

The virus, though weak, was still there. A little nagging at the back of his head. And although he had no intention or desire to, he knew he would likely attack you the moment he got a chance.

Something pulled moon from his thoughts. Why on earth would Moon imagine crashes, bangs and yelling in his imaginary room?

Looking over the ledge of his perch Moon breifly spotted something orange, with two too many arms of which were grappling something bright, sparking and purple. Before he could do anything however, everything snapped black.

surrounded by darkness it took Moon's eyes a little time to adjust before he realised he was standing in your kitchen, You standing frozen in fear, staring at him wide eyed.

He wasn't sure if this was real or not until a flash of lighting breifly illuminated the room, sending Moon into an agonised yell as his featues breifly morphed to resemble Sun before retracting back as the darkness returned.

At his yell, you had taken the chance to run off and Moon heard the slam and lock of your bedroom door.

yep this was real. And the power had gone out.
