Nina: I'm sorry y/n . Please let me explain myself.

Saying that she sat on the corner of the bed . She lowered her head and didn't say anything for a minute she just sat like that . Idk why but concern took over me .

I slowly lifted her head up by placing my hands on her cheeks gently . She looked at me with teary eyes and I couldn't control myself. I just nodded my head saying that 'it is okay' .

She replied to me by nodding her head and I wiped the tiny droplets falling from her eyes. She took a deep breath and started...

Nina : y/n you see , i met Rowan like a year ago . I met him on a blind date .

Y/n: what ? you used to go on blind dates??!!!

I asked with pure shock in my face . As she used to nag me and lecture me about benefits of not going on a blind date.

Nina : no!! It was my friends. They thought I was a total freak as I never had a boyfriend and wanted to hook me up with a guy .

Y/n : *sigh* okay , continue.

Nina : I was waiting for my friends when he came to me and asked me if I am Nina . I just nodded at him . And he smiled at me . I just thought it was weird and turned away . That's just when I got a message from my friend saying that she had planned a date for me with a boy . And she sent me his photo. I turned to see him , he has that confused look on his face.

Nina took a deep breath and looked at Rowan and said ,
Nina : I know this might sound a bit weird but I am not interested in dating. I know I wasted your time so I sincerely apologise for my mistake.

She bowed to him and returned to her position. He just had a casual smile on his face which made Nina feel weird .

Rowan  : it's okay . Idk what happened to make you take a sudden decision but I accept your apology if you treat me for dinner.

He was smiling the whole time which made Nina blush a bit . First time in her life she was nervous infront of guy . She just nodded and gestured Rowan inside the restaurant.

The whole meal was pretty good .Rowan was asking her questions and cracking some jokes . But what Nina didn't know was she was falling for him. Whenever he used to crack a joke she used to either blush or laugh. She felt very comfortable with him .

Nina : excuse me , can I get the check please.

Waiter : sure mam , one second.

He came up with the bill and was handing the bill to Nina when someone snatched it from her hand. Obviously it is Rowan !!. Before Nina could speak he insisted on paying the bill.

Nina : no it's not necessary , let me do it .

Rowan : didn't I say it is necessary.

He said with his deep voice which made Nina to gulp the lump formed in her throat . She just nodded and sat silent . The bill was cleared and they both head out .
