Chapter 3

Danny POV

I really liked Lacey there was no denying it, I think I started staring at her that's when Mark broke the silence,
"Ok Danny boy stop staring!" Mark joked making everyone laugh.
I didn't reply I just sat there blushing,
"So who wants to go to the pub?" I said jumping from my seat
"Yeah ok" replied Lace, Mark and Glen.

Lacey POV

We started walking to the pub leaving the studio, Danny was acting strange I don't know why but I let the thought out my mind.

10 minutes later and we had arrived at the pub. We entered laughing and joking around, we went over to the bar that's when Danny spoke up
"No drinking for you Lace" Dan States sternly
"What no that's not fair I'm 19 Danny!" I said, kind of annoyed
"Fine" Dan replied he obviously gave up arguing.
A few hours later and quite a few drinks later and we were all drunk well me Mark and Glen weren't to bad but Danny on the other hand..
That was when I saw from the corner of my eye Danny, with another girl I'm going to be honest my heart sank and I felt like I was going to throw up.

Mark POV

We were all at the pub, for once I wasn't drunk but Dan on the other hand.. He was really drunk. He was so drunk he was flirting with a girl me, Glen and Lacey stood there talking that's when I saw Lacey's eyes drift over to looking at Danny kissing this girl. This was when I saw in her eyes what she was hiding from us, she liked Danny.. She was in love with him.
"Your so perfect babe" said Danny to the girl.
She chuckled slightly and leant in to kiss him again.
I turned my back for a minute to get another drink and when I turned back I saw Lacey running out, tears streaming down her face.
"DANNY LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO HER" I shouted at him I was so angry.
I turned back to see Glen had already ran after her and I followed.

Lacey POV

I couldn't take this, my heart was braking into millions of tiny pieces I felt like I was going to throw up. When I heard Danny say the words "your perfect" to the girl I couldn't take it anymore I ran out of the pub tears streaming down my face in waterfalls.
I got outside at last and slumped down against the wall, head in my hands. Why did I feel like this? My heart was crushed I just cried and cried until I felt two people slump down against the wall next to me,
"Hi Lacey" said Glen
"Hey Glen" I replied with a half hearted smile.
"Lacey, we know you like dan.." Mark said
I paused for a moment not really knowing what to say, then started to cry even more
"I know, I do...I really do" I finally answered, I was in tears by this point.
"Shhh Lace it will be okay, he's drunk he doesn't know what he's doing" replied Glen,
"He will wake up tomorrow and be so annoyed at himself Lacey, your a great girl and he knows that, he will regret it" Mark said
"Thanks you two, you always make me smile. Can we go now though?" I meant every word of that they always were there for me.
"Yeah come on then, we better check in with Dan to see what he's doing" Mark replied, my heart sunk I didn't want to see him, not now anyway.

Danny POV

I was so drunk. I was kissing this girl, I had no interest in, I didn't even know her name. I turned to see Lace run out tears streaming down her face, oh no what had I done, she was the one I was in love with. I'm such an idiot.
"Sorry, whatever your name is, I need to go" I said before pushing the girl away I needed to find Lacey and explain. I was just walking to the door to go find Lacey when I bumped into Mark looking for me,
"Dan what are you doing?! Lacey is a great girl, she's 19 and you are braking her heart right now. Dan I thought you were better than that!" Mark shouted at me, he was right everything he said my heart sunk I felt so guilty I loved Lacey and hearing she was 'heartbroken' because of me killed me inside.
At this point I started crying, I looked like such a wimp but I was drunk,
"Markkk.. I..I..love Laceyyyy" I said in a drunk voice
"Danny we need to go come on" Mark replied before dragging me out the pub.
I walked out to the rain pouring down on me, and to Lacey slumped against the wall with a tear stained face, it broke my heart to see her like this.
"I've booked a cab to take us to Lacey's house, should be here in a sec" said Glen, braking the silence.
The cab finally got here and we clambered in, in silence. After 10 minutes of silence we arrived at Lacey's house and we all got out, Lacey looked so upset, it killed me.
"Urr.. Lacey can I speak to you a sec?" I stammered pulling her to under a tree as it was still raining.
"Danny.. I can't do this I'm sorry.. I'm going inside" Lacey replied
"Lacey please, let me explain" I begged, she listened and came back to me.
"Lacey, I need you to know I was drunk okay, when I'm drunk I do stupid things. The truth is well.. I've liked you for the past few days, my mind has been messed up all I can think about is you so I kissed the girl to try get my mind of you, as I knew you would never like me. But Lacey I can't fight my feelings anymore, Lacey O'brien I..I..Love you"
