Chapter 19

Danny POV

*2 months later*

Me and Lacey had know been together for 3 months and it's been the best 3 months of my life. We are going on holiday today but she doesn't know yet. Just then Lacey's eyes flickered open and looked at me.
"Dan what's the time" she mumbled.
"Um..5am" I replied. She just stared at me for a minute.
"Are you serious" she muttered. She went to lie down again but I stopped her.
"We need to get up gorgeous" I said.
"Why?" She said annoyed.
"We are going on holiday" I said excitedly.
"Really!?" She said excitedly.
"Yup" I replied.
"I love you so much" she said smiling before kissing me. It got heated fast but we pulled away.
"Come on let's get up" I said. She quickly got up and ran to the shower and get changed. I had a quick showers too then went and packed my suitcase. Lacey came in a few minutes later with a towel wrapped around her.
"I'm just getting clothes" she states before running off to get changed. She came in a few minutes later with her hair in a messy ponytail and she was wearing her denim jacket and a white flowy dress.
"You look gorgeous" I said. She smiled and came over and kissed me.
I pulled away and looked at her.
"I love you so much Lacey" I said.
"I love you so much more Daniel" she said laughing before walking away and putting her stuff in a suitcase.

*skip to holiday*

Lacey POV

Me and Danny had now been in the Caribbean for a day. We were staying in a place called St Lucia. It was beautiful. Today we were just spending our day by the pool.
"Dan do you wanna go in the pool?" I asked. He nodded and quickly got up and grabbed my hand. We were swimming for about 20 minutes and it was now 7pm, we were messing about in the pool before Dan spoke,
"Can we go for a walk on the beach?" He asked.
"Yeah ok" I agreed.
"Err i need to ring Mark quickly so you can go get dressed" he said. I nodded and walked to our room. He's been acting quite strange today but I didn't know why. I suppose I will ask him when we go for the walk.

Danny POV

I quickly went outside and called Mark.

*phone call*

Hey mark! - D

Hey Dan. Have you asked her yet? - M

We are about to go on a walk on the beach as it is getting darker - D

Good luck Dan - M

Mark I'm nervous, what if she says no - D

Stop worrying! Lacey loves you. Ring me later or tomorrow okay? - M

Yeah okay.. And yup - D

Bye good luck! - M

Bye thanks - D

*end of phone call*

Even speaking to Mark I was still super nervous. What if she says no? What do I do then? I quickly checked my pocket.. Yeah still there.
"Babe you ready to go?" I shouted.
"Yeah" she replied. She came in smiling and ran over to me and we walked out the door, hand in hand to go to the beach. We got to the beach and went and sat down on the sand.
"Your so beautiful Lacey" I said looking at her. She just blushed and looked away.
"And your cute when you blush" I said laughing. She just looked at me and blushed even more.
"It's not cute" she mumbled.
"It is" I replied smiling. She just laughed and looked at me.
"Come on let's walk a bit more" I said putting my hand out for her to hold. She took it and we walked further down the beach. The sun was setting so I thought this was the moment. I stopped and looked at her.
"Dan what are you doing?" She said confused. I didn't replied I just got down on one knee.

Lacey POV

This walk was so perfect, the sun was setting and I was with the person I love. All of a sudden Danny stopped and I turned to look at him.
"Dan what are you doing?" I asked. He didn't reply he just got down on one knee, I gasped.
"I know we have only been together for 3 months but your the one I want to spend my life with. Your the one I want to wake up to every morning and smile at because your so beautiful. We have had so many ups and downs in 3 months but we have got through them together. As long as your by my side I feel like I can get through anything. So Lacey O'brien will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?" He said. I was in floods of tears by this point. I tried to speak but I was speechless so I just nodded and he stood up instantly and kissed me. He then pulled back and put the ring on my finger, it was beautiful.
"Danny I love you so much it's unreal" I said hugging him.
"I love you more" he said smiling.
"Not possible" I replied. I was so happy, this is how I had always dreamed my life would turn out to be. Danny has helped me through so much these past 3 months all though it has been so tough. He hasn't just been my boyfriend he's been my best friend and helped me through everything. And now he was my soon to be husband. I was going to be Mrs O'donoghue and I couldn't be happier.
