I actually have a therapist and she is super nice. At first I was a little nervous because I didn't know what exactly would happen but it was actually really good. On our first appointment she asked a lot of questions about me and my past to get to know me. My mom was there with me and she pretty much told her everything because I don't remember my childhood.
We also talked without my mom in the same room. Then she asked such questions such as "Have you ever thought of hurting yourself or that you don't want to live anymore?"
I only lied a tiny bit. But there's nothing to worry about (for now).
The next appointment is next week. I definitely need to talk to her about my anger issues.
-> Don't be scared to get a therapist. If you need help then it's best for you to get it. (Where I live it doesn't cost anything but in the USA you probably have to pay idk)
