15: A Glance into the Past

The next morning, Lee Soo Hyuk's room was filled with sunlight as the sun rose strongly outside. The sky was a vibrant blue, clear of any clouds, and there was no wind to speak of. It was shaping up to be a beautiful day. As Lee slowly stirred from his slumber, he took a deep breath and stretched his arms, feeling rejuvenated after a good night's rest.

He sat up in bed and looked around his room. The light pouring in through the window illuminated everything, casting shadows on the walls. The silence of the morning was broken only by the outside traffic sounds. Lee smiled to himself, feeling content and at peace.

He got up from the bed, the cool wooden floor beneath his feet waking him up fully. He walked over to the bathroom and turned on the shower, letting the warm water wash over him. He took his time, enjoying the feeling of the water as it cascaded down his body, washing away any lingering sleepiness.

After his shower, he dressed quickly, opting for a simple white shirt and black jeans. He looked at himself in the mirror, running a hand through his hair to tidy it up. He was ready to face the day.

As he sat down on the edge of the bed, he grabbed his phone and opened the news app. Out of curiosity, he checked the entertainment section of Hankyoreh News, the first newspaper that came to mind. To his surprise, he found an article about himself, but this time it was not harmful and was filled with hate. Fallen had corrected the previous article, not admitting that it was fake, but acknowledging that Lee was not to blame.

Lee felt a weight lift off his shoulders as he read the article. He didn't know how Seo Yea Ji managed to pull off something like that, but it seemed that their discussion had made a difference. He felt a sense of relief, knowing that things were beginning to look up.

Lee Soo Hyuk's face lit up with a smile as he couldn't believe that Fallen had actually corrected the previous article, and he felt a sense of relief wash over him. He placed his phone in his pocket and headed towards the kitchen, feeling energized and ready to take on the day.

As he entered the kitchen, he took a deep breath, inhaling the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Each morning around 6 a.m. the coffee machine was scheduled to make coffee by Manager Kim. He walked over to the coffee machine and poured himself a steaming cup. The rich, robust flavour filled his senses, and he savoured every sip.

Next, he opened the refrigerator and took out a carton of almond milk and a carton of Greek yoghurt. He mixed the two in a bowl and added a generous serving of honey and a handful of fresh berries. The colours of the berries, from deep purples to bright reds and oranges, were like a painting, and he admired them for a moment before taking a spoonful of the mixture.

As he ate, he could feel the burst of energy from the healthy breakfast coursing through his veins. The cool, creamy yoghurt mixed with the sweet, tangy taste of the berries was a perfect combination, and he enjoyed each mouthful. He closed his eyes and savoured the taste, feeling grateful for the delicious and nutritious breakfast that would keep him going all day long.

Lee Soo Hyuk's conveyed his satisfaction as he finished his breakfast. He leaned back in his chair and let out a contented sigh, feeling nourished and ready for whatever the day had in store for him. A few meetings that Manager Kim had booked for him, a new audition for a new drama and a few more things were listed on his schedule for today.

After savouring his breakfast, Lee Soo Hyuk looked for his phone and realized that it was getting late. He felt uneasy since Manager Kim had not contacted him yet. Lee was sure that Manager Kim should have seen the article and would have called him about it. However, he didn't dwell on it for too long and decided to call Manager Kim instead.
