Jax's pov
Here we are outside waiting for the jury to call us back in to tell us the verdict. She has Abel and is pacing anxiously. I tell her "baby relax" "I can't relax when my life is literally on the line right now Jax" she sighs. I stand and approach her "look at me Lottie. You're gonna win this thing. Your testimony was perfect as was all the evidence and our testimonies as well. You're going to win this thing and you'll be coming home with us" she asks "what if I don't." Kissing Abel's head. I grab her free hand "you gotta keep a straight head and believe you will. I know you will" pulling her to me.

It doesn't take long. She mutters "why'd it only take 10 minutes Jax" I reply "that could be a good thing" as we walk in. "It could also be a bad thing. A very bad thing" she mutters. I take Abel and kiss her lips softly "you got this" she nods and I motion for her to breathe. Holding Abel. The judge comes and we stand and someone from the jury stands "in the case of Charlotte Fitzgerald..." white noise. I don't show how anxious I am about this for her. She doesn't need me to be anxious and worried. She needs a shoulder to lean on and someone to vent about this to.

"Not guilty." We sigh in relief. "We order that she pays nothing in damages as well" I grin her way and we're dismissed and I meet her in the middle and kiss her. I hear it "YOU MURDEROUS BITCH! YOU KILLED OUR SON OUR ONLY CHILD! YOURE GONNA REGRET THIS" the psychopaths mother screams coming over. I stand in front of her handing her Abel "ORDER!" The judge screams "get the fuck away from my family. Right now. Threaten my wife again and we're gonna have problems" I snap.

She glares and I do the same "you're probably going to end up being next." I reply "not likely. I ain't a psychotic rapist like your son. Leave now. And never step foot in my town again. Or near my family." She snaps "I'm going to burn her pretty little life down. Mark my words" "was that another threat to my wife? If you were a man I'd react differently. But know I'm not above smiling in my mugshot for her and my family. Walk. Away." She glares "you're gonna regret this" the judge keeps calling for order. "Your son said the same thing and you see where he ended up?" I ask and whisper to her "and if you're not careful you'll end up where he is" and she freezes and I grab Lottie and walk away with her.
