Several days have passed since Tommy first got stuck with Dream. It should be safe to assume it had been seven days. Seven days of being trapped in a cell with Dream. There wasn't really any way to keep track of the time. There were no windows, no cracks, and just a broken clock that only said the time it died, 12:00.

Tommy was huddled in a ball, in the front of the cell, away from Dream. Tommy was fixated on the lava in the front of the cell. The warm lava, the welcoming lava that could cover him in eternal warmth, all he had to do was take a few steps forward.

Tommy sighed. He was clearly uncomfortable just like the other days before. He was uncomfortable and nervous. He stood up and walked a bit around the cell. He stayed near the lava though. The warm, comforting lava and the soothing red vines.

Dream was still sleeping, as if he had not a care in the world. As if he had done no wrong, he was sleeping so peacefully. Tommy groaned. He couldn't fall asleep, not now, not again. He had already fallen asleep a couple of times. He couldn't risk it again, no matter how exhausted he was. He already fell asleep next to Dream before, he didn't mean to but he would make sure not to anymore.

Tommy didn't get any sleep during the time Dream slept. He just either stared at the lava or spoke to the Egg. The Egg no longer seemed all that bad. It reassured Tommy that when he got out he would be safe and comforted by the people of the Eggpire. He would be happy and at peace. He would no longer need to live his life in fear and anxiety. The Egg promised. And the Egg never lies, right?

"Tommyinnit, for as long as you have trust in me, you will be safe and happy. Do you believe me, child?" asked the Egg softly. Tommy, still standing, leaned against the wall.

"Yeah. I guess so.."

Tommy closed his eyes and sighed. After a few seconds he opened them back up and looked over at Dream. He was still sleeping. He was off in the lands of dreams. Where he was at peace, where he didn't need to worry about a single thing. It wasn't fair. He shouldn't be sleeping, he didn't deserve to. How could that monster sleep so peacefully as if he had done no wrong!?

"Fucking bitch. Hope he rots in here." Tommy thought. He looked away from him and stood up straight. His body was no longer against the wall that was covered in crimson vines.

He started walking again. Slowly walking about the front of the cell. He heard the Egg. It's soothing voice as it spoke to Tommy and promised him safety, peace, and comfort. It promised him things no one else had yet to give him. Serenity, happiness. He wouldn't be alone anymore.

"Egg...? You still here?" Tommy asked quietly, hoping to get a response.

"I'm here, child. What is it you need?" The Egg answered. Its voice was enchanting, it was magical, it was... welcoming. It made Tommy forget about the lava that called to him.

"Just bored..." Tommy said. He walked paced around the room, his hands on his arms. "How long has it been? Like, me being here. I seemed to have forgotten."

"Seven days, my friend. You've been here seven days." replied the Egg. Tommy stopped walking and looked down. He felt something. He didn't know how to describe it. It was like a mixture of sadness, disappointment, and anger. How could Sam just let him stay here? Especially with Dream of all people. Did he forget? Maybe Dream was right, maybe Sam thought he was annoying and locked him away so no one else would need to be bothered by him. Maybe Sam forgot about him and he would be stuck even longer. Maybe Sam really was never going to let him out...

"Do not worry, young one, you will be out soon, just take deep breaths." whispered the Egg. It's voice was soothing. Tommy took a few deep breaths and listened to the honeyed whispers of the Egg.
