The day went on by and soon I found myself getting ready to go to Club Hazard with Shannon and Delilah. I wore a bare back white dress that clung onto me in all the right places. I wore vans with cheetah prints and silver hoop earrings for my jewelry. I scribbled a quick note telling Rhesa where I was and left the house headed to Delilah's house which was a 10 minutes' walk from my place "Lord take the wheel!! Hubba hubba ! I am so going lesbian for you!" Delilah cried with a smirk on her face as soon as I walked through her front door. "Fire baby! You're going to murder those boys in the club!" Shannon added. I snorted a laugh and thanked them. Delilah took out a bottle of Jack Daniels and we began to take it down in turns. After the third time my head began to spin. I began to feel relaxed and all my insecurities disappeared into thin air. "Let's go have fun babes," I told them as I held both of their hands and pulled them along with me. Delilah lived near the clubs so we just walked. As we crossed the road, the sound of the house music surged through my body like an electric current. The club was pitch dark with flashing neon lights and it was packed; probably because it was happy hour. The smell of cigarettes, alcohol and zesty food was pregnant in the air. Girls dressed in lingerie which left not much to imagination were dancing on poles in on the dance floor. The music was thumping so loudly I could feel pulsations in my fingers, chest and feet.

We followed Shannon to a table at the back of the club where Darren and his best friend Jo , who Delilah had a huge crush on, sat waiting for us along with a bunch of other people. We said hi to them, sat down and started catching up while downing drink after drink. Darren made us laugh with his jokes and impressions of other people. He really was a comic.

"....         If your chic come close to me, she ain''t going home when she post' to be "

"....        I'm getting money like I'm post be, getting money like I'm post' to be

"Oh my gosh! That's my jam!" Shannon exclaimed as she pulled me to the dance floor. It was a dancehall song we both loved. We swayed our hips back and forth moving to the rhythm of the beat while we sang along and even did the shmoney dance in between. These are the moments I really enjoyed. When you don't have a worry in the world and it's just you and you're loved ones. These were the things that counted. Shannon and I burst into hysterical laughter which was cut short by a deep voice talking to Shannon, "Sorry but I'd like to take over and dance with this beauty." He turned to look at me and I was knocked for six. It was the same guy from earlier; Tyler. Shannon smirked and winked at me before going back to the table. I suddenly tensed up. I didn't even know why my body reacted like that to him. "It's nice to see you again." he said with an ear to ear smile on his face, "May I have this dance?" I suddenly felt  very awkward and uncomfortable because at the end of the day, I didn't know this guy, he might have been a serial killer, rapist, pedophile, psycho, chronic masturbator or even a thief. I wasn't taking chances. Criminal minds had really taken a toll on me. This was too much suspicion for my good. "Actually I'm feeling a bit woozy," I lied. I saw disappointment flash through his eyes and I suddenly felt guilty. "We can sit though," I added quickly. He then held my hand and took me to a table near the bar. He offered me a seat beside him and quickly ordered me a drink. We started to talk about everything and anything. I got to find out that he went to the same university as I did, majoring in law. He was interesting, knowledgeable and broad minded. He also has a sense of humor and kept cracking me up. I even forgot that we were in a club full of drunk people who were grinding up, bumping up and dry humping each other. I mean people in clubs were so dramatic. In that moment it was just me and him. I felt chills go down my spine and a feeling of excitement creep down my back as well as goose bumps forming on my skin. The looks we exchanged were intense. "I really enjoyed your company Azariah. I'd love to take you out sometime," he broke the ice. I looked down at my hands and began to fidget with my fingers as I tried to ignore my conscience of how I was possibly getting involved with an axe murderer. I was ready to take chances though. "Sure," I gave him a warm smile and we went our separate ways.
