"Aye aye! Calm down people! I have something else to tell you!" Cassie screamed at us. "Please tell me you're going to give us a million dollars while you're at it, better yet, buy me a Rolls Royce," I joyfully suggested. "Yes bitch, you're rich now you're going to take me to get that boob job I've always wanted, "Azariah added. We all roared with laughter. Tears of joy even streamed down my eyes. After we cooled down Cassie got all stone faced and said, "I need the both of you to come with a date. I don't care where you get one from. We need to do this in order to equalize the number of bridesmaids and best men. So you guys have to look for boyfriends." As soon as she said that all the excitement disappeared into thin air. "Are you serious Cassie? What the hell is this? I am so going to skip the wedding, I can't do this," Azariah said indignantly. "It's France for Pete's sake! There is no way I'm missing this thing. I will find a guy. Even if I have to hire him for the wedding," I thought aloud. "No. There's nothing like hiring a guy, what the hell do you think he is, a car? Who would even accept to be 'rented' for a wedding?" Cassie said sarcastically. "People will do anything for money," I deadpanned. "Touché! But darling, I don't want strangers in my wedding. I don't want a random people in my wedding photos! He has to be special to you. This means a lot to me. Yes girls, this is the bride zilla beast in me talking so please figure something out, "and with that, Cassie hang up.

 AZARIAH POV

Rhesa paced up and down the carpeted floor of our living room while I fidgeted with the remote control. "Cassie is crazy! I don't think she's okay up there!" Rhee screamed. "No shit Sherlock," I retorted. My sister and I were dumb founded. As much as we were happy for Cassie, I didn't like the last part. It wasn't a surprise though. With Cassie, there was always a catch. A stream of thoughts raced through my mind in a complex web of confusion. Where the hell was I going to find a boyfriend in a month? That was such a short time, it was not like he would fall from the sky. I thought about the daunting task ahead of me and my mind drifted back to Tyler. He had asked me out but he wasn't a top priority. Quite frankly I wondered what he even saw in me. He was the different. He traveled a lot, was knowledgeable and had a lot going on in his life, were we really compatible?

He was really sweet and charming and I think I was actually starting to have feelings for him. They say opposites attract but in this case I wasn't convinced. What if he was just like the other guys? What if he just wanted to use me? Was he going to hurt me? A bundle of joy at the start then a complete asshole after such a short time; just like Robbie. Memories of the past revived in my mind in proportion. The thought of Robbie caused tears to dangle in my eyes. I still had a soft spot in my heart for him. Basically, we got into the relationship too fast. I never really knew the guy. I guess I was blinded by infatuation. I had no idea that he was an alcoholic drug addict. To add salt to the injury, he was cheating on me with my next-door neighbor at the time. She was also a chronic stoner. Crack head and crack whore; truly birds of a feather flock together. Together, they joined forces to make my life a living hell. They started off by stealing my credit cards and withdrawing all my savings to get their next fix. As if that was not enough, they made a copy of my house keys and broke in during spring break when I was in Doha on vacation. I walked into my apartment and found that all my things had vanished into thin air. I'm talking electric appliances, furniture and even my freaking mattress! Yes people, they were that petty. I mean even my charger went missing. Pathetic, right? It was a bitter pill to swallow. Without frittering time I called 911. The cops were at the scene in no time. Turns out Robbie was the world's dumbest thief because he left his fingerprints all over the place. Never in my wildest dreams had I thought that he would turn on me like that. Traumatized, I confronted him before the police got to him. I tried to show some empathy and offered to get him help and a job but my efforts bore no fruits. The only thing I got from that ordeal was a black eye and a fractured arm. From that day on, I was petrified that if I stayed too long with someone, they would turn against me the same way Robbie did. I didn't want to get hurt. Suddenly, I began to feel queasy, my head started to throb and the cake in front of me was not so appealing anymore. All this thinking was giving me a headache. I walked to the kitchen to take an aspirin. "You know what? This might actually be a good thing. This will challenge us to actually find good guys, you know, for Cassie's sake. I'm taking this thing positively. I'm sure it's all going to end well." Rhee declared behind me. I looked at her choking back laughter. "Azariah I know that look. I know what you're thinking; Rhesa can't find a guy but I will prove you wrong," Rhesa said confidently. "No. That was the look for 'Rhesa can't find a guy to measure up to her unrealistic standards'. Are you sure you're even going to find a date to the wedding? Hunny, you're literally married to work," I humored. "Look who's talking ey? Are you sure you're going to find a guy who will stay with you long enough for the wedding," she deadpanned. "Well, this town has a lot of potential! And you know what? I will prove you wrong as well," I answered. "It's on sister!" she retorted. "It's on!" I challenged. And with that ladies and gentlemen, the hunt for our knight in shining armor began.
