RHESA POV

Present day

I was awakened by the bright sun rays which penetrated through my window in a red shimmer haze. The birds were cooing in a wonderful melody to welcome the day. I went on to take a hot shower, slipped into some sweats and a hoodie and proceeded downstairs where I found my sister. I didn't have work and I was planning on spending my day watching a Friends rerun (best show ever) I was sitting on the couch deeply engrossed on the TV screen when my sister walked through the front door. "Oh my gosh! You weren't in your room sleeping this whole time? I was actually about to come check for a pulse man. I thought you were dead. You do know it's 3 pm," I said as I let out a hearty laugh. "You're doing the supposed walk of shame at 3pm, tell me, who did you hook up with last night?" I teased. She didn't look amused. "Unfortunately, I didn't get some last night. I was with Delilah and Shannon, "she explained as she threw her purse on the floor and jumped onto the couch in one swift motion.

"And give me a break. I have a massive headache. My head is on fire I feel like it's going to burst open. I am never drinking again, "she said clearly in pain. I almost fell down laughing. This was her usual routine. She would spend the night binge drinking, have a massive hangover, swear to never drink again then two days later you catch her with a bottle of Jack Daniels in hand.

I know something that will cheer you up though," I said as I walked to the kitchen leaving her puzzled. I took out a three layered chocolate fudge cake which I had bought the previous night on my way home along with 2 saucers. As soon as Rhee saw it she leapt off the couch. her mouth literally watered at the sight. I shook my head in amusement. So much for having a 'massive headache'. She cut herself a huge piece and dug in.I was just about to serve myself when my phone suddenly rang. The cake was just in front of me and I was dying to taste it. Cake was my addiction. I mean who doesn't love cake? I answered it without even looking at the caller ID.

"Somebody better be dead !" I said irritatedly "Heeeey Rice."I heard a soft voice exclaim. There was only one person who called me that, Cassie. She was an interesting character. When we were younger, my name was too hard for her to say so she'd say Rice. Even when she finally got the hang of it, she never let it go so it became our thing. She was our first cousin. She was dear to us as we had grown up together and she was our age. "Hey Cassie!"I replied equally thrilled. "Skype, now. Its urgent! And call Azariah too, she needs to hear this."

I sprinted to my bedroom to get the laptop and after doing the necessary, Cassie's beautiful face appeared on the screen. "Oh my gosh I have missed you both so much !"she cried. "Me too,"my sister and I said in unison. It was a twin thing haha. "Damn, Rice, you look like an old man. Those eye bags though. Have you not been sleeping? Or were you getting it on the whole night?" she hooted as she winked. Azariah and I burst into laughter. "Nope. It's far from that but that's not important, how are you Cassie?" I asked. Cassie then put both her hands in front of her to cover her face clearly flaunting the lustrous diamond ring on her left ring finger. My eyes widened and I felt joy bubble up inside me. "No fucking way! Is that an engagement ring?" Azariah asked clearly as flabbergasted as I was. "Yes people. I'm getting married," Cassie replied with a proud smirk on her lips. Azariah and I started to squeal, hug and hi 5 each other. This was truly good news. Cassie had her fair share of relationships. She had dated tons of guys and even girls. The girl truly loved to get it on and was very open minded. She changed guys like clothes. Juggling up to 3 guys at one time. I can't blame her though, the girl the body of a goddess. I am dead serious. Basically she was goals. She had the type of junk in the trunk that people would kill for . The type that people paid thousands of dollars to get implants of. it was really hard to believe that she had finally settled down.

"Who's the lucky guy? Spill all the details" I asked enthusiastically. Azariah and I listened intently as this was some juicy gossip. "Well, his name is Ramon Gonzalez. His father is Daudi Gonzalez, one of the richest men in the world. Like he has it all. The has the looks, power and wealth and his amazing personality and positive attitude towards life is the icing of the cake. He is everything I could ask for in a man. I am so happy," she told us gleefully. A series of questions raced through my mind. Where did she even meet such a guy. This is everything. "And where the heck did you meet such a powerful man?" Azariah asked, shock engraved on her face. It's like she read my mind. Again, that's a twin thing. "I was on a business trip in Hawaii and we met at the hotel," Cassie answered.

"Well we are so happy for you girl. This has just made my day really, "Azariah said. "So when is the wedding and where is the venue?" I asked. "This is the best part. The wedding is on July 17th which is about 2 months from now and we're doing it in Perez's mansion in Paris. And the both of you are going to be bridesmaids." That was exactly what I needed to hear. Again, Azariah and I started to jump, squeal and scream like little girls. This truly was great news.
