It was the second mid-term. Two of the exams had to recall. I was so scared. Lucy was going insane already. She had kind of feelings that she won't be able to recall.

Daniel and Lucy were a couple. As we found out, Jessica was just a one-night stand like Lucy said.

Me and Jamie? We were friends. That's not even "we." I and Jamie were friends.

Now, I was sitting in the yard of the university with Lucy. We were studying and helping each other.

The whole day, we were just sitting and studying. Lucy became thinner because we couldn't even have time to eat.

'Evelyn, I don't feel okay.'

'Let me check.'

I touched her pulse. Oh, no. It was too low. It could barely beat.

'What time is it?'

She asked me.

'We still have 4 more hours. I'm calling the emergency service.'

'No, I need to study.'

I called emergency.

I was looking at my phone and when I looked at Lucy...oh, no. She fainted. No...no.

📞she fainted.

I checked and it was getting weaker and weaker.

📞in 5 seconds there is only one beat.

📞what do you mean? What's your name Ms?

📞Evelyn.

📞what's her name, Evelyn? How old is she?

📞Lucy, just became 22.

📞okay. emergency service is on its way. Don't leave her alone.

📞Yes, thank you.

They hung up. I called Jamie. He answered very late. His voice was like he had just woken up.

📞hey, what's up?

📞I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up, but Lucy fainted.

📞where is Daniel?

📞I don't know, maybe he has an exam.

📞I'll call him. Where are you?

📞at the yard of the uni.

He hung up.

'Lucy, please wake up. We have to pass the exam together. Then after ending this year we have to go back to Georgia. Then we can come back for more two years. Please, we have the whole plan and the whole life.'

I heard footsteps.

'Hey, Evelyn.'

'Jamie.'

I hugged him.

'Yeah, it's me. Tell me what happened?'

'We were studying for exams. She said she wasn't okay but when I checked the pulse it was weaker. I called the emergency service, and they asked me to check again when I looked at her... you know. I checked the pulse again and it was getting weaker and weaker. The emergency is on its way here.'
