"You will bring peace to Atlanta, that's your destiny. Somewhere in this empty and selfish world there must be good people just look for them and hang on to them..."
These are my mother's words, before seeing me get into that damn vehicle with an uncertain destination, she didn't seem worried about the fact that I was going to a place where I don't know anyone, since I got here, I almost threw up several times due to the luxury and people with straight noses, while the girls jumped like circus animals for the happiness of being in the palace right now, I looked at them with a closed expression, in fact many didn't even want to be near me, I don't care at all little, that's who I am and that's the end of it, I found myself leaning on the balcony looking at the sky, I let out a sigh, I felt as if I could be swallowed up by the walls of this place, I woke up in the morning and couldn't get out of bed, Luce my companion came even me trying to cheer myself up, talking about how much this must all be a dream, the problem is that I don't care a bit about any of this, I got up forcing myself to do something, maybe I should go train, feel a little free or something like that, so I jumped up and got out of bed, I got into the shower without wetting my hair, as soon as I relaxed a little I got out of it directing myself to my suitcase, I took my old clothes and then I put them on, I made a tail of high horse, I took my bow and arrows putting on my back, and so I left my room, my destination was the grass part with targets of the palace, my feet walked in that direction, it didn't take long for me to arrive at the place, I didn't stay not surprised when I saw several agents there, it seems that they were disputing something, I got in the middle of them watching, there was one of them that was ahead, his hair was black; and his deep blue eyes, the same seemed to be the head of the small competition, his voice echoed loudly drawing everyone's attention. ____ I doubt anyone can hit the arrow exactly on top of mine! - it was a challenge I realized right away, that's why I raised my hand and spoke aloud. ____ And if someone gets it right, what would that person gain? - the eyes of all of them turned to me, a space was opened around me, the agent who was in charge let out a light sarcastic laugh and then spoke.
____ This place is not suitable for fragile ladies.. - They all laughed and I simply closed my features; I walked into his presence putting myself in front of him as a small affront.
____ The only fragile being I'm seeing here is you.. - They laughed again, but this time it was due to the commander's expression. - I bet I hit your arrow and rip it in half..
____ If you hit my arrow, you'll earn my respect for an eternity, but if you don't.. - he stared at me closely - you'll accept the laughs and jokes for the same time... - he bit his lip as if that could attract me at him, I rolled my eyes and then spoke. ____ That's what we'll see soldier.. - he gave me space and then everyone was silent watching me. I removed my bow from my back, immediately adjusting the arrow at the right point, I pulled it into the air, calming the beating of my heart, I raised it with the arrow approaching my cheek, my lip brushing the wood as I drew my breath, my eyes became concentrated at the point where I wanted to hit, his arrow, the breeze was slowly hitting my rusty hair that danced silently to the right, the pressure should leave to the left, I closed my eyes for a few seconds and then opened them watching with my irises the exact point, it was at that moment, that I let go of the arrow, it flew quickly towards the target, cutting the air until it finally pierced his arrow, tearing it in half, it sank into the hay, the agents started to scream and laugh with their faces of the leader, he approached disguising an expression of anger and then extended his hand to me speaking.
____ You have my respect.. by the way, I'm Rafael.. - I held out my hand, squeezing his and speaking.
____ Ayla Marin.. - I gave a victorious smile and then turned my back on them going to the furthest target. It was good to see that even without training for a few days my aim was reasonably good, that's when I heard the agents talking about me, they weren't being very polite, I'm still a lady of respect, even though I don't have manners, I turned around hitting an arrow that went by inches from one of their cheeks, they all stopped talking at that exact moment and looked at me.
____ I'm a lady and if you don't give me due respect I swear I won't make a mistake on purpose next time. - They all stopped talking at the exact moment I threatened them, but the commander spoke again.
______ It's really embarrassing for you to lose to a girl! - He exclaimed from above - Does anyone here between us accept to challenge her? - The silence was absurd.
_______ Why don't you go Commander? - Shouted one among so many soldiers that I couldn't even see him.
_______ Me?.. Well.. you know I'm hurt!.. - He showed his fist but no one put faith in his words, and I laughed - I can't.. but I know there's someone here who wants to beat Miss Marin? - The silence returned for a few seconds until a serious voice echoed there at the end of the rows of soldiers.
_______ I want to try! They all gave way to Nathan Crowther, he marched until he stopped in front of me, his stern gaze fixed on my irises yet I didn't look away.
________ Good luck. - I said facing him - You'll need to... - Having said that I turned my back to the prince positioning myself in front of the target, if he thinks he's going to beat me he's very wrong, I'll do my best so he loses.
