All of a sudden, I started to feel dizzy. Everything around me started to go blurry. I pushed him off and told him I had to go. "What's wrong?", he asked. "Look I just got to go, there is no time to explain", I replied as I bolted at the door.
As I started to run down the sidewalk, James was running behind me. I told him he wouldn't love me once he knows the truth. "Tell me what's wrong?", he yelled out.
I tried to speak the words, but nothing could come out. "Tamayo, please tell me what's wrong?", he said again. I stopped and told him that the darkness was my home. The more I'm separated from the dark, I start to fade away.
"I'm a freak", I screamed. "You're not a freak!", he said. I lifted my head, with tears strolling down my face. I couldn't help, but cry when I look at him. He grabbed my hand and looked into my eyes, "I love you." I looked at him crying, "I love you too", I replied back.
My heart started to sink. I loved him so, but I couldn't stand outside for the sake of my health. "Please stay", James said in a melancholy voice. I told him I can't. I moved back and let go of his hand.
