To be honest I wasn't sure how to start that one so I am sorry if it is weird or something. At least I tried?

And I am also sorry for taking this long.

Anyway, Enjoy sinners!

Cardinal was walking around his office while listening to the clock ticking. He would be there sooner or later. The thoughts in his head couldn't calm down since that morning. Why was he that stupid? He shouldn't have asked him to meet him if he wasn't ready to confess it. Confess it all. He was sweating. Like a sinner in church. His arms were trembling. Only thought was how the ghoul would react.

He had liked him for a while. Ever since he was announced as cardinal. There was something in the way that man looked at him that made Copia desire him and his touch. If he was a teenager he would say he had a crush, but at his now age, he knew it was pure love. He had noticed the ghoul acting in a certain way towards him as well. As if he was giving him some sort of special treatment.

He would constantly be nicer than usual to him, bring him all the meals he lost due to his working schedule, tried considering him in things that sometimes he didn't even have a place to at all. It was as if the ghoul tried everything to make him fall harder. Or have him spending more time with him.

One way or another, Copia couldn't lie to himself, he liked the way he was treated by the ghoul. Y/n was what he would call the one for him. He was kind and funny and sweet and understanding and fair and supportive. But he just had his doubts. Doubts that the ghoul wouldn't even look at him again after this meeting. But he had to tell him. Because if this was to be continued to something more official, the ghoul had to know. He had to know about his identity. About his, whatsoever, true self.

He prayed and prayed that this wouldn't change anything between him and the ghoul. He wanted to actually believe that this wouldn't make the ghoul go away but come closer to him. He didn't want the ghoul's pity but his love and acceptance. But he wouldn't get to know anything unless he gave it a try and spoke to the ghoul about it.

A slight knock could be heard on the door accompanied by a soft voice saying 'cardinal?' as if the person was asking to make sure he was in the correct place. Cardinal's blood stopped moving in his veins for a while as he was in the ending line. It was now or never. He either opened that door and spoke to the ghoul or he would shut until the end of time.

He started walking slowly but hesitated. He looked down at his feet and took a deep breath. 'Whoever is afraid of death never gets born' he thought and took his decision. Within seconds the door was opened revealing a ghoul figure standing behind it with — what would be without the mask — smile on his face. Copia moved to the side, letting the ghoul walk past him and in his office room. He closed the door behind the man and turned to look at him.
