6. Messages and Longing

I spend the whole night thinking about what I had written and sent to the boy, at breakfast time I continue to think. When it's 2 pm sharp, I hear a notification noise coming from the notebook, I run out of the room to see what had happened to the notebook. It was a message from him.

I'll be honest with you, if your brother and father really like you, I think they would be fine with the fact that you're Gay, because let's agree there's nothing wrong with being Gay. I keep asking myself, why is being Hetero normal and Homosexual is Abnormal? Every thing that happens I can't even understand. As soon as I send the message, I hear Miguel calling me from the kitchen.

I open the letter and begin to read it aloud.

People start laughing after reading the letter. So Miguel takes a paper and a pen, and then we start writing, each one a part.

I fold the letter and put it in an envelope and add the address and ask Miguel to put it in the mailbox.

After Lizzy's letter, Miguel and I spent the whole day lying down to watch a movie, but he ended up sleeping with his head on my shoulder. So I ended up finishing the movie on my own. In the middle of the end of the film there is a scene where the character assumes his love for a person, with this scene I take courage to tell the boy that I like him. I carefully place Miguel's head on the pillow and go to my desk.

I open Notebook and start writing.

I was watching a movie just now, and I saw a scene a little familiar to what I'm doing now, I didn't have the courage but now I do. As soon as I finish writing, I send the message. So I go back to bed and lay next to Miguel, where I was already in a heavy sleep. I sleep and just keep thinking about what can happen in the next few days.
