y/n POV:

eva ended up staying overnight at the hospital, i slept on the mini couch in the hospital room too, i promised to never leave her side.
it was midday and i was pretty hungry so i decided to wonder off to a vending machine, i put some change in and bought two bottles of water and some doritos. not healthy at all but better than nothing.
as i wondered back into the hospital room i saw an awake eva, doing some deep breath meditation while still laying down

"hi lovely"  she spoke, jolting me out of my thoughts

i ran over, dropping the stuff down and pulling her into a hug, she winced a bit so i pulled away, looking at her bruised face

"how are you feeling?"  i said running my finger over a wound

"average. somewhat achy but i'm alive and that's what matters"

i nodded and kissed the bruise under her eye

"i'm so glad you're alive"  i whispered

"me too" eva chuckled

"here squeeze in"

eva scooted to the side in the tiny hospital bed, inviting me to sit next to her, i let my arm drape around her shoulder, pulling her closer

"i don't know what i'd be doing right now without you. you mean so much to me eva, i'm sorry i left. i'm never gonna leave you again."
i admitted

eva just looked up at me and smiled, she knew that i really cared for her

"i know. it's not your fault"

"when do you think i'll be discharged?"

"hopefully later on today, they ran tests while you were asleep. you have a pretty harsh concussion"

"and a broken wrist" eva added looking down at her hand wrapped in the cast

"mhm and a broken wrist" i laughed and softly picked up the injured hand, kissing her fingertips

"you know i'm gonna find that girl and kill her."

"no no no, let her go. she's not worth anything. as long as i have you i'm happy"  she said looking at me

i nodded my head and placed another kiss on her, feeling so grateful she was alive.
as we talked about random things a doctor walked thru the door with a clipboard

"Eva (tf is her last name???)" the nurse spoke

"yes ma'am"  she sat up

"i need you to sign this form and you're free to go"

eva signed the form and sat up out of bed, putting on some fluffy slippers and a coat

"and i need you to sign too, what's your relationship to the patient?" the nurse asked me

"oh i'm just a friend"

eva secretly stared at me while i answered, as if she wanted me to say something else. i was confused

the nurse nodded and i signed the form
me and eva walked out of the hospital in silence, we sat on a bench next to the parking lot waiting for Salem to come and pick us up

"what was that about" i said fiddling with my hands

"what?" she said looking at me

"you were looking at me funny"

"no i wasn't ?" 

"you were"  i giggled 

"well maybe i was just admiring your beauty"  eva nudged me

"oh shut up"

we both laughed at she let her head rest on my shoulder

we sat listening to the birds chirp and cars drive past in the distance. it was a calm atmosphere

"i'm sorry i stormed out. i should have stayed" i spoke up

"none of this wouldn't have happened if i left" my voice cracked and i fiddled with my rings

"y/n no. do not blame yourself. you needed time and shit happened, but that is not your fault at all, i told you this already, trust me it's okay" eva encouraged

i just sighed and held her warm hands in mine.

"you know what happened earlier?" she questioned randomly

"what?"

"when i looked at you funny when you answered the nurse saying your my friend"

"i remember yes. still confused on why you did but carry on" i laughed again

"well i think it's because i don't necessarily want to be your friend" she confessed

i leaned away from her, looking at her in shock and confusion, she just said she loves me and now she doesn't wanna be my friend?

"sorry what?"

"i think i want you to be more than my friend..you know like..." she mumbled

"a best friend?...i don't know what you mean?"

"no..more than that."

"eva i'm confused,what do you mean?"

"i want you to be mine y/n! for fucks sake i don't say i love you for no reason!" her voice raised but she had a smile

"oh" i was not expecting that

i just sat staring at her. zoning out into her eyes

"please answer me before i walk away" she whispered

"sorry sorry"

"um i don't know what to say" i nervously laughed

"do you want to be my girlfriend or not?..it's okay if you don't i understand it's rushed an-"

"yes. i'll be your girlfriend eva just shut up"

i held her bruised face gently and pulled her into a much needed kiss. it felt different knowing that i was actually hers this time

"i love you too" i whispered, responding to her earlier confession

"i love you so much more, angel"

eva smiled and we resumed our kissing, both of us not being able to wipe the smiles off our faces

"get in lovebirds!" Salem yelled out the window, pulling up infront of us
