Don't worry this isn't going to be some cringy Y/N add in. Just, read this plz.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reader POV(Y/N):
You finished reading the previous chapter, and now, your waiting for the author to post the next, and possibly last one.
You do whatever morning routine you've been doing, whether its sleeping until 1pm, staying awake all night watching memes, or actually being a responsible human being, and having a NORMAL sleep schedule. Suddenly, a notification comes from the device you've been reading the story on.
- A new chapter?- You ask yourself, getting ready to read.
You go onto the device to find that a new chapter has been released, called, "Meeting The Narrator (MTN)"
That's an oddly suspicious title, isn't it? You go click on it, and... its blank?
- Welp, that was a waste of my time.- You spoke. - Their isn't even anything on here.- You sighed, putting the device away.
-Well, then allow me to paint the picture for you.- Something booms inside your head, as your transported to a new setting.
You have a headache for a few seconds, but only a few, before you are able to stand up and witness your surroundings.
The place looks... interesting to say the least. Their are random papers floating everywhere, covered with colourful paint, and portal to god knows what in random places. Things seem to be very busy, as you see many characters, some panicking, running from portal to portals, others on the run, others chillaxing, and so on. You then notice a desk, with two chairs standing parallel to each other. The other one turned around, and some "figure" sitting in it.
You decide to sit in the chair in front of you.
The scenery changes as a glass "box" is placed upon this area, blocking out the noise from the outside. Before you can get up from your chair, to figure out what's happening, the chair in front of you turns around.
- Hello, Reader.- The shadowy figure in front of you says, and you recognise their voice from when you were still in your "dimension."
- Why did you bring me here? I was just about to enjoy my [favorite drink.]- you tell them, not really in the mood for this.
-My my, must have brought you here on a bad time?- The figure chuckled.
- Who the heck are you?- you interrogate them, not wanting to waste any time.
- You can call me, the Narrator.- They replied, pointing to the obvious name tag on the desk.
- The narrator of what?- you question them.
- The story you've been reading. Sure, I may not actually narrate anything, but I kind of over see things, whatever the author writes, I make sure it happens that way.- They explained, their distorted figure moving what seemed to be hands around, writing on something.
- Well, then why am I here? I'm pretty sure I'm not really needed INSIDE the story??- You demanded an explanation. Of course, why would you want to be stuck in some cringy story this author wrote, instead of doing whatever you could outside of this story.
- Oh, well your correct..- the shadowy figure drank some unknown liquid before continuing. - We need you to read this OUTSIDE this story so that our author has motivation to keep continuing, and so that this place doesn't DIE.-
- But, I don't make the rules. The higher ups do. I've brought you here, simply because I was ordered to.- They shrugged.
- Do you want to play UNO?- They asked picking up the deck of cards.
- Sure I guess. Why though?- you were skeptical of this "narrator", thinking they were plotting something.
- Well, why do you play UNO? To entertain yourself. I'm bored.- They replied, the deck shuffling itself, probably with magic.
- Okay, so then do you have anything to tell me?- You beg asked, because there is no way you were pulled into here just to play UNO with some shadowy figure.
- Ah yes, I almost forgot!- The narrator leaned into their chair, with a serious "look" in their glowing eyes. - Do you think the story is going to end here?-
- Ya, it kind of seems like it.-
- Welp, your wrong. Guess what? This is just he beginning!- They laughed, while you looked at them confused. - You haven't even gotten to the beginning of the story! This is just the 'backstory,' so you can have a feel on how everyone is supposed to act. The real story is yet to come!- they dramatically acted, making you think that they should have been a actor.
- Okay???- You shrugged, while placing a green 4 onto the table. - UNO.-
- Oh, and you'll probably be here every now and then, just because. - they added, while placing a plus 2 card.
- UNO!- They chuckled, not knowing what you had in your hand. You placed a 2 plus card as your last card.
- Oh darn it, you won. What a fun game!- They sighed, while putting the UNO cards back.
- So, do you just kind of know everything about the story?-
- Nah, just think of me as a security guard for some random suspicious business. Got no idea what they are making, but just guard it. I mean, how else would I have lost to you, if I knew EVERYTHING that happened in the story?- They explained. - We are in the story right now after all.-
- Okay..- You shrugged.
- Oh my, how time flies! I suppose it is time for you to go!- They spoke as you get sucked back into your reality.
- Goodbye!- is the last thing you heard from them, before your back to your place.

So people, this technically isn't a chapter, but it is part of the story. If you see me update something with (MTN) this is the kind of thing you should expect. ANYWAY, see you in the next chapter!
