Chapter Eleven
Meeting
Everyone looked at the teenager in shock, no one was expecting this, other than mostly conspiracy theorists.
Then after a moment, the legends all started glowing their trait's color. Then it stopped, and the King spoke, "Everyone who is not a legend or a legend in training, please go home now!"
The crowd soon left, George and Alder hesitated but after giving Kris a quick smile, they left. Ella didn't know if they should leave or not until the King called them to the stage.
"Why hello... Tina?" The King said.
"My name's Ella... not Tina," Ella responded.
"My apologies, legends in training please go with your new mentors to your respective rooms. And... Ella, come with me." The King said, and that is what they all did.
Ella followed the king to what looked like a meeting room, it had wooden walls yet everyone knew it was better defended than just that. It had a big table and chairs all around it in the middle of the room, each chair painted a different color or colors in terms of a seat that was rainbow. All the others were either purple, yellow, orange, light blue, green, or blue. Ella was still shocked by what had happened, they stood on the other side of the room from the King, which the King was ok with. He gave them a small smile yet seemed to be uncomfortable as he went to the rainbow seat and summoned a book of sorts which had a rainbow soul design on it and started writing
Ella looked down at themself, seeing their red necklace, which they assumed had just changed colors. But then they jumped up in shock as they started glowing red and heard someone they had heard before.

Kaylah was now in her designated room with Patience. Although the room looked slightly nicely decorated? There was a bed and a nightstand right next to it which had a book with a light blue heart on it, and a bookshelf to the left of it. There was an actual desk to the slightly far right of the door which had a desk lamp. There was also a closet on the left side of the room. Kaylah stood at the back of the room, and Patience stood near the door.
Elizabeth sighed as she looked at Kaylah who was looking at her hand and looking around. "Hello, Kaylah," Patience said. Kaylah looked up,
"Hello, Patience, ma'am," Kaylah said, thinking she said it too rushed.
Elizabeth smiled, "It's ok to be afraid, right now I'm just going to tell you the basics of what's going to happen." She said, Kaylah then nodded, trying her best to not seem nervous as she fidgeted with her hands, only to realize that her once white was now a light blue heart necklace. "Do you have any questions before I begin the explanation?" Patience said. Kaylah shook her head, "No ma'am." she said quietly.
Patience took a deep breath and began, "Well now that you're a new holder of the Patience trait means that your power is, in simple terms, the power to control the cold, ice, cold air, et cetera. And your biggest power is the ability to slow down time for anything, it can be a book falling, or slowing time itself. I believe the main role of this trait is mainly just planning attacks, defenses, and some more in simple terms. And in terms of being a legend in general, it changes day by day, and there are some powers that each of us has. We can teleport anywhere I believe and can shapeshift ourselves, we can't shapeshift into another legend, the king, or a corrupted person. And we cant shapeshift our necklaces." Elizabeth thought for a moment, "I believe that's all I could say simply."
"Any questions?" Patience asked. Kaylah tried to think of some, and she understood enough, yet in the things, she was confused about she couldn't quite pinpoint a question to ask. "No ma'am," Kaylah said. "Well, ok!" Elizabeth said. She had hoped for questions because she knew her explanation didn't last for long. "I believe I have to go then," she said, if she couldn't help her now pupil, then she could at least be earlier to the meeting than Zayden. "Try to make yourself at home then." She said, Kaylah nodded, what else could she do? Elizabeth left the room and teleported to the meeting room.

Casey and Bravery entered the room. The room had a similar design to the Patience room, only missing the desk lamp. Casey stood close to the wall far from the door but not there exactly, while Bravery stood in the middle of the room. Bravery sighed, "Hello," he said. "Hello, sir," Casey responded, with the calmest voice she could, standing up had straight as she could. Bravery sighed, "I have to tell you what being a legend is, if you have any questions, say them now or hold them until the end of the discussion." Casey thought for a moment, she had many questions but maybe the explanation would answer them? "No sir," Casey said.
"Ok then," Bravery said. "As the legend of bravery, you can control the earth's rocks, the ground, and mountains. And after a lot of training, you will be able to switch your power between defense and offense, in the amounts you choose as long as it isn't too much. And as a legend, you will have to fight a lot, of course. You will have to spy on others to see who's being corrupted when you are on patrol. You will also be able to shapeshift into different people or change parts of your appearance which helps when you are on patrol. Still, you can't shapeshift into another legend, the King, or a demon, mainly due to our necklaces, not being able to change them, all that." After thinking for a moment, Bravery spoke again, "Any questions?"
Casey had quite a few questions, and although scared she asked them. "How often are the battles?"
"Depends on many factors." Bravery responded almost immediately.
Casey felt stupid asking the following question but did. Her voice was shaking slightly as she asked, "Should I refer to you as Bravery, or something else?"
"Bravery," Zayden said practically as soon as the question was asked. "Sir is ok too if not preferred as of now, as well as *some* other names." He added.
Casey nodded, "Thank you Bravery, Sir." she said, "I don't believe I have any other questions..."
Zayden nodded, "Well I must go, try to understand the room better I suppose..." Casey nodded, "Thank you and goodbye sir." she said, as Bravery left the room, and once he did, teleported to the meeting room.

Zale stepped into the room, it had the same decor as the Patience room except for the main color scheme being blue. Zale stood far from Integrity, and Grace realized this and stayed far but not too far. "Hello, Zale," Grace said, in a calming voice with a nice smile. Zale nodded, "H-hello ma'am."
Grace sighed, "You need to know the basics about being the legend of Integrity." Zale nodded. Integrity started, "In being the legend of Integrity, you can control, as well as make water, it is far easier to control than create. You also can turn anyone or anything you want invisible. In being Integrity I believe the main role is the spy, it's easier to do if you can turn invisible. You will, although I don't believe often, be called into battle. Also as a legend, you can teleport and change parts of your body." A few moments of silence... "I believe that's most of it, do you have any questions?" Zale thought for a moment... "No, I don't think so," he said. Grace smiled again, "Well, in that case, try to make yourself at home, I'll be here if you need me!"
Zale nodded and looked and wandered around the room, he didn't see anything except for when looking down, his necklace, it was quite beautiful and... glowing? Or at least the heart was? Zale looked over at Integrty then back at his necklace then back at Integrty, "Um, ma'am, may I ask what are these necklaces?" He asked. Grace took a moment to think before answering his question, "Well that's mainly up for debate... however the main theory is that the good version of messengers lives there. We believe it's best to wear it to grow closer to said good messenger, they do have the final say in our magic after all!" Integrity said. "Thank you, ma'am," Zale said, he understood enough of what she said he guessed. Integrity looked at the clock right next to the desk, "Well I believe I have to go, however, it was nice meeting you Zale!" she said. "It was nice to meet you to ma'am," Zale said. Grace smiled and walked out of the room, and teleported to the meeting room.

Elliott walked into the room, which had the same design as Zales except for a ton of green and a few plants everywhere. Elliott walked far from Kindness, but wasn't that disrespectful? But he couldn't bring himself to go closer to Kindness, one of the seven gods, and now the god of Kindness was here, in the same room. Adam soon realized his concern, "Hello Elliott, it's nice to meet you." He said, trying to help calm Elloitt down. Elliott nodded, what else was there to do? He couldn't say anything, it was as if his vocal cords were tied together, or at least that's the best way Elliott could see it before Adam spoke again.
"Well, I suppose I should explain being a legend in training before everything else." He said. Elliott finally said something," O-ok sir thank you" it was said so quietly that Elliott wasn't even 100% sure Kindness heard him. Adam did hear him, "You're welcome." he said so calmly. "Are you ok with the explanation starting now?" Adam asked, Elloitt soon nodded.
"Ok, as a legend or legend in training of the trait of Kindness, you can control and create plants, any type. Although creating plants does take quite a bit more energy than just controlling them. You also can heal any physical damage done to a living being, not a dead one unfortunately and only physical damage can be healed with the expectation of very few things. Kindness's role is, for the most part, being the healer. As a legend, you also have the power to change any part or parts of your body, also known as shape-shifting. We can also teleport anywhere we want, but the farther you go the more energy it takes to teleport there. And I believe that is most of it! Do you have any questions?" Kindness said. Elliott didn't really have any questions, but he did have a lot of worries. "No Sir..." Elliott said. Adam nodded "Well, in that case, I believe you should explore the room a bit. I'll be here if you have any questions that develop." Elliott once again nodded, it seemed to be the only thing he was brave enough to do in the situation. He tried his best to observe the room quickly before going anywhere to make sure he found the least embarrassing place to go. He eventually decided that the bottom left corner was the best place, there was at least a plant there. As Elliott looked down at the plant he also saw its once-white necklace now green. He tried not to care about it too much as he carefully looked around the room. After around 7 minutes Kindness said, "Unfuortily I have to go somewhere for a bit." he said. "Try to make yourself at home!" Elliott nodded once more as Kindness left the room and teleported away.

Stephanie went into her room as Justice followed. Stephanie stood in the middle of the room, staring the god in his eye, trying her best to show as little fear as possible. "Hello, Stephanie!" Justice said, voice calm. "Hello, sir," Stephanie said. "As you are now a legend in training, it's best if I explain everything to you," Justice stated. Stephanie gave a firm nod, as Justice spoke again, "Are you ready, or do you have any questions?" Stephanie shook her head, "No sir, I do not have any questions."
Justice nodded, "Ok, as the legend in training of Justice the power is electricity, you can get it from somewhere, or just create it. However, it's much easier to take than create. You also have the ability to Effect, which is complex but in simple terms, it sees what people have done and what they deserve, and the Effect can give it to them. The trait is high-ranked so there are a lot of roles that are played. It is mainly being the main fighter. And as a legend in training in general, you can basically shapeshift and teleport. And that's most of it! Any questions?" Stephanie thought for a moment before saying "No sir, I have no questions."
Justice nodded, "Well if you have any later feel free to" Justice tried to say before Stephanie cut him off, "I have one now, why was I chosen?" Silence... "Why. Was. I. Chosen!?" "...Both you and I know the answer, and only one other does, your brother," Zack said, looking away from her. Stephanie looked shocked, then she started laughing, "Of course! Of course, that's what happened!" Zack nodded, he saw what happened, and he knew the impact, he knew the effect that day had on the once 10-year-old girl, to have to kill someone... that man deserved what happened that day, not Stephanie, not a child.
Stephanie had stopped laughing, "Well I've done other things, how did that not tally anything off?" Stephanie questioned. "I honestly don't know, you were chosen by my magic and that didn't change after that day." Stephanie nodded, how else could she react? How else could she react that the day that changed her life changed it twice?! Justice sighed, he hated that man with all his soul, but at the same time was grateful, and he hated it. Stephanie thought about it for a moment, it made, some form of sense she guessed, not much at all but somewhat.
Zack looked at the clock, hoping it would say that it was 8:30 or maybe even 8:25 or 8:35, to his luck, it said 8:27. "Well It's best I head out." he said. "Try to make yourself at home." "Goodbye sir," Stephanie said as Justice left. Stephanie sighed as she saw the flash of yellow showing that Justice had teleported away. Stephanie took her hand out of her pocket as well as the knife, looking at it she was still shocked that that day and that knife is what caused all of this. Stephanie put the knife back in her pocket and took her hand out, right before she fell, Stephanie had fainted.********************************
Kris walked into his new room, which looked the same as the majority of the others. Kris went to the middle of the room, but couldn't go any farther as he fell to the ground, and fainted. Alex sighed moving Kris's body onto Kris's bed, he stood near it. He knew this would happen, and hated that it did. The clock ticked on, 8:25, 8:26,8:27. Once the clock hit 8:28, Perseverance glowed his respective color, as did every other legend (and the King) in the room. "I'll probably be late to the meeting guys, just as I said," he said telepathically.
"Did your legend in training faint?" the King asked
"Yes."
"Ok then, just be here as soon as you can."
"Also," Perseverance said, "Justice, I recommend checking on Stephanie."
"Did she faint?" Justice asked
"Yes," Perseverance responded
(The following thing that was said unfortunately can not be shown)
"Will she be ok?" Zack asked
"Yes."
"Ok, good"
The glow stopped, and Alex looked at Kris, he didn't know what possibility he was seeing, or even if it was one. He sighed, as his mind began to jump to conclusions, he hated that he always did that but it was a side effect of all that has happened to him. He hoped that Kris wasn't seeing a similar or even worse possibility than what he has been through and that as of now it was just a side effect of getting his trait, not the trait he got. One thing he knew for certain is that these flashbacks could last for a long time, a short time, or somewhere in between. His mind began to wander again, this time to memories. He wished what he did years ago had worked so Kris would never repeat it.
8:30, 8:31, 8:32, 8:35, 8:40, and 8:45, Kris had yet to wake up. It almost had to be the trait he got at this point, 8:50, 9:00. Alex sighed, he was now scared of what Kris saw. Kris was just a kid, just 15, just as he was.

9:45, Preverservence walked into to meeting room.
"Did everything go ok?" Elizabeth asked. A nod in response. Preverservence went to his seat, and sitting down he said, "My apologies for being late." "Don't worry Alex, I understand, your legend in training fainted, and you stayed with him. That is perfectly fine." The King responded. "Now I believe it is time to address the issue." A look to Ella who was sitting shocked. "Sh- they, we're chosen for a trait of someone who's been dead for a long time now, Determination. I am unaware of how s- they, got the trait, as for that to happen, the person who held the trait had to do the action by choice, and you can't make decisions when you're dead. Does anyone have any clues as to how this happened?"
The legends thought for a moment then Bravery spoke up within the silence, "The only thing this could mean is that Jenny is still alive, but it has already been disproven by Preverservence multiple times." Alex agreed with a nod, looking at Ella before looking back at the group. The legends were silent, this was a topic they all hated, most for the same reason. No one had any ideas, no one knew why that had happened, and everyone hated it.
The King spoke up, "Well as no one has any ideas I would like to share one of my own. Someone else got the trait of Determination when Jenny died, and that person was hiding it until today, where they thought it would free them of the trait." Alex sighed as everyone took the idea into consternation. It could work, slightly, multiple holes were found in the King's logic, but no one said anything. The legends all nodded, as the King dismissed them all. Everyone but the King had now left the room, and he looked at Ella, unsure what to do with them. Nobody prepared a room for them, except maybe one person, "Hey Preverservence, could you head over here?!"
