"Y'all could at least hide it." Liberty sighed, shutting the door behind her but still standing quite far from the bed. Her eyes were glued to Kalea, who was fast asleep without a care in the world.

Sky looked down at Kalea before her gaze went back to Liberty, nodding her head. Liberty placed Sky's missed assignments and work on the chair next to the bed before she just stood there. She'd always knew something was up between the two women, the way Sky used to rave about how much Kalea was helping her and how her sculpture was slowly but surely starting to look like Kalea.

Liberty couldn't ignore the signs.

"I'll keep this secret for you, Sky. Only because this is your last year, if y'all fuck up, that's on you." Liberty explained, tucking a loose braid behind her ear before she pulled her coat close to her chest.

"I get it. I appreciate it." Sky gave a small smile, her free hand still caressing Kalea, she couldn't believe that she was in her arms right now. It seemed surreal, the Sky from a few months ago wouldn't believe that this would ever happen.

"I'm glad you finally decided to calm down." Liberty replied before hesitantly walking out of the hospital room, leaving the two women to themselves.

Kalea's eyes shot open after the door shut and she looked up at Sky with furrowed brows.

"She's not gonna say nun." She reassured Kalea, who's eyes were glossed over with worry.

Sitting up, Kalea grabbed Sky's hand and placed it into her own before rubbing it slowly. She lifted Sky's bandaged hand up and placed a small kiss on it before putting it back down.

"I'm not worried." Kalea replied, "She cares for you so I don't think she'd intentionally hurt you."

Two weeks had passed and they were currently in the holidays, the University was shut as students were on break. Sky had just been discharged from the hospital but she had crutches and was still wrapped in bandages. Luckily, she didn't need the heavy painkillers anymore.

"Just live here at this point." Skylar joked, watching as Kalea slumped on the couch beside Sky and handed her a plate of oats. She watched as her injured sister ate the food with a massive grin, clearly enjoying being babied by Kalea.

"As soon as she's better, I'm gonna be out of here in a flash." Kalea smiled, getting up to grab her own cup of black coffee. She watched as Skylar jokingly rolled her eyes, not believing her, as she packed the stuff she needed to go down to the café.

"Imma be back in a few hours." Skylar waved, "Thank you for the help, Kay." She smiled before leaving and locking the door behind her.

Kalea walked over to the couch, she was dressed in black leggings and a baggy white t-shirt with some fluffy socks, she'd been sleeping over for the past few weeks. She sat down beside Sky, pulling her knees to her chest as she drank her coffee.

"You've been here for me every step of the way and I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate it." Sky turned to look at Kalea, who met her eyes with a soft expression, her brown eyes filled with warmth.

"When I heard that you'd gotten into an accident, I felt my heart drop to my stomach. My chest felt tight and when I saw Skylar crying, it only amplified my anxiety." Kalea began, she didn't look at Sky, she only looked ahead at the tv.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she spoke, "Our last conversation kept playing in my mind as we waited for them to finish your surgery."

"I took you for granted." Kalea admitted, her voice cracking as tears rolled down her face, "I don't even know why you're even letting me be here with you right now but I've just been acting clueless."

Sky frowned as she listened to Kalea, watching the tears trickle down her face and onto her clothes. She reached over and made Kalea face her before she wiped her tears away. A somber expression painted Sky's face as she heard Kalea sniffle, she felt her own heart break.

"I like you a lot. I care about you and I forgive you." Sky stated, "That's why you're here and will continue to be here."

Kalea nodded, wiping her nose and sniffling.

Sky reached over and held Kalea's cheek, caressing it softly as she wiped her tears stained face. Her eyes followed her hand as it touched Kalea's face, leaving a trail of desire in its wake. She leaned over and kissed Kalea's forehead, being careful not to push Kalea's boundaries.

However, Kalea impatiently pressed their lips together, parting her lips to accept the kiss. Sky was shocked by her taking the initiative but she welcomed it nonetheless. Her eyes shut as she savoured the feeling, Kalea's lips were salty because of the tears but Sky liked it regardless. She was crying because she cared for Sky, because she longed for Sky and because she wanted Sky's forgiveness. Feeling particularly eager, Sky's hand snaked to the back of Kalea's head and pulled her even closer, not wanting to ever break contact. She could feel the burning in her lungs because they both couldn't breathe so she pulled way, taking in Kalea's dazed expression.

Kalea rested her head on Sky's shoulder, feeling too embarrassed to face her. Sky still made her feel so shy that it was ridiculous. She sighed constantly as Sky rubbed her back.

"You're so lucky I'm injured right now." Sky groaned, feeling Kalea plaster wet kisses on her neck, trailing down to her nape and jaw.

Pushing Sky's hair out of her face, Kalea smiled before giving Sky one final peck.

"I don't know, feels more like a punishment." Kalea sighed, she'd been clinging to Sky for weeks. They were always hugging, touching or rubbing one another.

Sky's brows raised as she listened to Kalea's bold statement, "Stay patient, it's all yours anyway." Her eyes meeting Kalea's foggy ones, she could see the excitement and desire that clouded her eyes and Sky felt the exact same way.

Kalea nodded and snuggled up to watch the tv. Sky's heart was racing so fast that it felt as if it would rip out of her chest, she wanted Kalea so badly and now she finally had her. Kalea drove her insane, she'd dreamt about her, yet here she was.

Showing her love and affection, all while sober and with no shame. Sky couldn't help but feel like it was all worth it.
