Chapter 2: Best Friends Forever or Best Fake Friends?
It felt like years until the recess bell rung. Sitting next to Christian didnt make things any easier either. He was such a nerd, seriously. Every question a teacher asks, he mutters the answer to himself but he doesnt even have the courage to speak up. To make things worst, he kept staring at me. Like, ew? Dude, im not interested in know-it-all nerds who can't even speak up.
"What's that? Someone's mobile? You students should know better than-" Mr Lawson boomed just as Chelsea interrupted him, "It was just the bell, Mr L. It's lunchtime," she countered while rolling her eyes. Mr Lawson just smiled apologetically and started packing up.
"Dumb much?" I muttered, shoving my useless textbooks in my bag. I can't believe teachers like these exist. They should retire or something and give us more fun and young teachers.
"Let's go, Chels," I grabbed her arm while slinging my scarlet Prada backpack. Oh, and did I mention that red is my favourite colour? I'm so glad that this country singer named one of songs "Red". I bet it was all thanks to me for making the colour red fabulous.
"Oh my God Kaye, did you see the look on that old goat's face when I said that?" Chelsea laughed, recalling the incident that had happened with Mr Lawson earlier as we were strolling to the washroom.
I forged a smile at my best friend, saying, "Yeah, I know." How many times must she tell me her story? I was present there, wasn't I? I wanted to talk about myself, but Chelsea just can't shut her foul mouth sometimes. I need a friend who would always listen to me, not a chatter box. If she wasn't the second richest, prettiest and most popular, i would've ditched her already.
My snapped back to reality once Chelsea bust open the toilet door. We were not actually going to use the loo, but to adorn ourselves using the mirror. It was like our daily task during our break. Especially, since I have Jayden transfered to my school, i have to look extra hot for him to fall madly in love with.
I have to look absolutely flawlass especially now that I have my eyes on Jayden. He's hotter than the temperature of lava, I have no idea how many degrees Celcius lava is, I haven't been paying much attention during Geography class but all I know is, Jayden is gorgeous. His looks totally complements my perfect assets. We are PERFECT for each other.
I admired at the girl staring back at me. "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?" I giggled, trying to immitate the Queen from one of those silly fairytales while twirling my long and straight ebony hair. It was as fine as silk, it took me like an hour for my hair to be in this condition. I put on a new coat of mascara on my long lashes and red lipstick for luscious, kissable lips. I touched up my make-up and flipped my gorgeous hair.
"My Queen, well of course, you are the fairest of them all," I mimicked a masculine voice in satisfaction. My shimmering hazelnut eyes observed my image, I obviously had the best hourglass figure every girl in the school envied. My newly-coated red lips cracked a seductive smile while I combed my hair, my eyes wandering at my perfect look. I turned my body at different angles, checking whether I had sufficient view of my unblemished skin for Jayden to ogle at. Guys love a girl with skin showing.
I glanced at Chelsea, who was still fixing her light-blonde hair. She was combing her sleek, straight hair and fiddling with her bangs. I eyed her from head to toe. In comparison with my body, hers was not up to standard, worse still she was wearing her skirt which was an inch or two shorter than me. What a disgrace! Surely she ought to know where she stand.
"Who do you think you are to wear such a mini skirt when you have legs like a flamingo's? Your legs are too thin, like a stick. You should be ashamed of yourself, Chelsea," I cuttingly remarked, with a snort of disappointment.
Hearing my tactless comment, I could see that she was taken aback. "What?" that was all she can reply with a slight disbelief in her expression.
I rolled my eyes and continued, "Well, do I have to repeat myself again? I mean, I'm just being honest, you know that. I am your best friend after all." I mean, there's nothing wrong with speaking up your mind especially with friends, right? I would be lying if I told her that she look fine. She has to raise the bar of her looks as she is supposed to be my best friend. It would be an insult to my reputation if I hang out with a ratchet-looking girl. It would be so condescending!
"Oh, well then. I appreciate your 'honesty' my totally hot and sexy BFF!" she said and gave me an air-hug. For a second there i thought she was being sarcastic, but when she said 'hot and sexy' i decided she wasn't.
"You are very welcome, my dear BFF! Now let's go to the cafeteria, I've got me a hot aussie to catch!" i said linking my arms with Chelsea and opening the bathroom doors. We headed towards the canteen, walking across the hallways like it was a runway.
Jayden will be mine, i bet my hot pink Jimmy Choos on it.
