"What's wrong with her, " I ask the boy who was touring me around the school because I'm a new student and in need of direction  but this girl just caught my attention which is weird because not many people do, beautiful I say out loud not giving a fuck who hears

¨oh that Dove¨ he explained "she was a popular girl with jokes and an attitude for days but one day she snapped and quit talking to everyone even her own family" I heard him say

I watch her sit  alone at the table staring into space, I watch as her head pulls away for a second and we make eye contact and she slowly goes back to her book I didn't notice before,  she beautiful 

yo nigga, yo nigga I feel the boy tap my shoulder " my bad what you say?'" I say not wanting to take my eyes off the mysterious girl ahead "uhh it's just time for 1st period"

As he directs me to my first period which is biology  I look around the class as everyone notices me because  I'm late 

Hello Mr. Baker nice of you to join us,  I'm guessing my bio teacher say on sarcastically, ¨hurry find a seat¨ he rushes me 

I wanna tell him what the fuck you think I doing but I don't wanna fuss on my first day and act like a  fool in these people's school with his ole bald head ass   

I look over the classroom there are two chairs left open one is this girl who winks at me and waves me over and the other is the girl from breakfast whos sitting by herself again I ask to sit by her because something draws me to her I don't know why but it does she just looks and shrugs her shoulder I guess she doesn't care  

¨why did he choose to sit by her fat ass¨ I hear the girl I  pass up to sit by  say and a group of people laughing like it's funny or something  ¨maybe because I did wanna sit by your stale face ass¨ I say not like how she was talking about the girl next to me ¨her same group of friends laugh at her as her face light up with a embarrass ain't nobody wanna sit by yo ugly ass anyway ¨right¨ I say  knowing ha ass lying 

¨shhh¨ I hear Mr. blad head say from the board

I look next to the girl beside me,  to see her writing something so I tapped her and asks her what she was writing, trying to start a conversation shes look at me for a second and return to back what she was doing I guess not wanting  talk to me not much of a talker I guess, we gonna have to fix that I  say to myself and smirk 

As she continues to do what she does I watch her from her smooth light face to her pretty brown  curls as more time pass I feel my eyes wonder more and more I feel her eyes do the same to me until I snap my eyes to her and she quickly looks away as blush creep on to her face she looks away 

I wanted to ask her a question but I remember the boy from earlier telling me she doesn't talk so I pull a piece of paper out of my backpack and  write

hi, she writes back after a few hesitant moments

My name is Aries nice to meet you,  I response 

Mines name is Dove nice to meet you also, she write back   

Before I can ask her name my bio teacher takes the paper and  yells detention as students laugh I watch all the color drain from Dove's face

¨no she had nothing to do with it that was all me¨ I say because I think 

¨If that's so I'll let you get off this time since you are new to the school but don't let it happen again¨ before I have a chance to speak the bells  ring cutting the conversation short as Dove blows a low breath and leaves in and rush 

As I sigh and  lean into my seat remembering I didn't get her number and I suck my teeth realizing she might not after almost getting her in trouble
