Sigmund walked through the hallways of the Valhalla Palace, checking every corridor he passed. He sighed as he went out after checking a room.

"Surt isn't in his room," He muttered to himself, as he peered out a window that overlooked the Odin Statue. The giant monument's foot was decorated with carpets and tables, where offerings were placed.

Today was the day where the new Odin Priest was to be anointed, and the new god warriors of the seven stars were to be blessed. When it was planned, the day also happened to fall on Odin's Sacred Day, the day Odin lost his eye and obtained the ravens as part of his wisdom. So, the whole land of Asgard was preparing for the big event. Even the nearby village had held a festival to celebrate as well.

Sigmund went down the stairs and entered the training field, which resembled the coliseum on a smaller scale. This is where he, Surt, Frodi, and Hercules had trained the new recruits for the next generation of the God Warriors. There, he finally found the person he was looking for.

Surt stood before a row of the young recruits, speaking in a solemn tone.

"Today, you will be anointed as the new generation of God Warriors. Remember what your purpose of becoming a God Warrior is; remember all the training you've passed to reach this day. Today, you will officially become the royal guardian of Asgard. Your mission is to protect the land and civilians of Asgard from Loki, Poseidon, or any other evil presence that threatens the tranquility of Asgard, and bring peace to our land."

Surt took a deep breath, then smiled and said in a lighter tone, "Well, other than that, remember what we've taught you. Don't ever be tempted to take off your armor during a fight, no matter how much your opponent is taunting you. Don't try to use your strongest attack from a distance; the impact will be much weaker. And don't try to impress your opponent with lots of unnecessary moves—you heard that, Vale?"

The boy named Vale, who stood next to his twin brother, replied meekly, "Yes, Sir."

"Surt, can I have a word with you?"

"Oh, Sigmund—of course, I'll be with you in a moment," Surt nodded to Sigmund before telling the boys. "Don't be late for the ceremony later."

Sigmund took Surt towards the exit, and walked back to Valhalla Palace.

"We'll be expected to be at the Ceremony after this," he told Surt. "You can leave the boys to patrol around the village, and when it's time for them to be officially anointed as God Warriors, we can give them the signal."

"Hmm," Surt agreed, looking closely at Sigmund. "Sigmund...Today, the Alpha Dubhe Robe that once belonged to your brother will become someone else's. Are you okay with that?"

Sigmund smiled at him, "If I did, I would never agree to become Ingeld's coach."

"Ingeld..Is that the one who used to be an assistant of your brother Siegfried?"

"That's right."

"I see."

"Come on, Frodi is waiting for us at Valhalla."

***

"Freya, this is too much."

"You look fine."

"Do I have to have my hair like—Ow! That hurts!"

Freya had accidentally pulled Lyfia's hair a little too hard as she brushed and braided it.

"Oops—sorry, Lyfia," she said.

"So," Lyfia stared at the parchment in her hand. "After Hilda-sama has appointed me as the new priest, the new God Warriors will stand before me and I will hand the rune stones to them?"

"That's right," Hilda, the former priest of Odin, smiled at Lyfia's reflection in the mirror.

"But I feel so nervous! How were you able to always appear calm, Hilda-sama?"

"Everything will be alright, Lyfia. Believe in yourself."

Lyfia walked back and forth in the room, lingering absent-mindedly at the pendant around her neck. Frodi, her childhood friend, stared at her as she paced around. He wondered how she was able to deal with the chaotic situation a month ago with such a calm air, especially when it was on the verge of Ragnarok.

"Lyfia, do calm yourself down," He said, interrupting the girl's thoughts. "And if you are ready, let me guide you to the Altar."

***

"And today, we shall commemorate the day Lord Odin gave up his eye to drink from the Well of Wisdom, and today we shall also crown the new Priest of Odin, the messenger of the father of Gods."

Lyfia watched nervously as she watched the ceremony from the side of the altar. At this cue, she walked up onto the small platform at the altar and knelt to pray to the statue of Odin before turning back to face the audience.

She saw the citizens from nearby the village had come and was watching the anointment ceremony, and felt a dread of anxiety. But she glanced at Frodi, who smiled at her as he stood beside Hilda in his shining white god robe, holding up the black Valkyrie crown that sat atop a cushion.

Hilda picked it up, and gracefully placed the crown on Lyfia's head before stepping backward and declaring, "With this, I officially declare you as the new Priest of Odin!"

And as if those words had a magical quality, the sea behind Odin's statue and the Altar erupted into a pillar of water, and a chariot pulled by Hippocampuses stood atop it.

And in that chariot, was the sea god, Poseidon.
