*I'd like to note that this is an AU (Alternative Universe) where we have the same characters but in some different settings, different realities, different lives or even in different alternative worlds completely. This is not related to the novel in any way.*

*This time around it is a secretive and CEO's son/office AU.* Hope you'll like it!

Garrett's pov

Clark company, the company I've been working for the past 6 years.

The name seems like it's nothing but trust me it is of grand importance.

The Clarks are known as a family that works in the industry of new electronics. They are one of the most influential families, maybe not as much as 20 years ago but they still are.

What makes less sense is the fact that I work with them.

I'm not a part of that family by any means and I'm not even a close friend of them, maybe today a bit more but not in the past when I first started.

I work as one of the secretaries of the CEO of the company, Robert Clark. It is a big role that I have and take great care of it. Through, I'm just a simplement secretary but that means I'm not really an important person.

It's not the best job as I don't do much but I won't complain when I have a good salary. Working in one of the most privileged companies is the best thing that can happen to anyone, I am insanely privileged.

I came into this job 6 years ago. I graduated in economics and the company was for the rare times hiring a new secretary. What was even better was that it was open to the whole public which I found strange but I guess they were that desperate.

Even if I knew the chances of getting the job were low, I went at it and got it. That's thanks to the fact one of my friends had connections to some of the working members. I got lucky there. They say I had good assets too so I guess that's also a good thing.

I'm not close to the CEO himself or the other members as I rarely do tasks directly related to them.

Today must be a special day as I got called into the office of the CEO himself. I still wonder if I'm finally getting promoted or recognized for my grand efforts.

I arrive with my coffee in hand and then head into the elevator. I press button number 27 and the elevator goes up. Not too long after I finally stand in front of the infamous door, the CEO's office.

Gosh, I'm scared but here I go. I knock and wait a bit. Then, the door opens and I'm met with his personal assistant, Ms Carnell. She smiles as she sees me.

"Good morning Mr. Peterson. Glad to see you. Come in." I smile politely.

"You too."

She leads me the way and as I sit in the chair in front of the CEO's chair, I notice another young man sitting on another chair close to mine. Is that...?

"Good morning Mr. Peterson. As you may have realized I called you up here to my office for special reasons." Mr Clark says and I smile.

"Yes, how may I help you?"

"You see the man next to you?" I turn around and look at the young man I saw before.

"You might recognize him, as he is my youngest son, Brandon Clark." Oh, that's why I recognized the face. What is he doing here?

"Hi," He says smiling brightly.

Oh, the aura he has. He's the all-fun type, isn't he? Didn't even use my official title how impolite.

"Hello, Mr. Clark."

"None sense call me Brandon!"

He says brightly and I notice the CEO looking a bit irritated by that as he tries to soften his eyebrows. Oh, dear...
