Chapter 1- back to shcool

It's the September of year 13 we're all back for our final year of school. i'm walking in with my best friend James and we're talking James is talking about his girlfriend who happens to be my sister. James is part of the popular lot at our school he's good looking, he's a bit of a bad boy and he's the star striker of our schools football team but despite all this he still talks to me a lot its only really because we've known each other since nursery but today its different after talking about his girlfriend who is also my sister.He then tells me that he has someone he wants me to meet i agree mainly because he'll become insufferable if i don't and when he becomes insufferable i get pissed off.

So i follow him and that's when i see her she is probably one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen. James leads me over to her and introduces her as Gemma. She's got blonde hair and circular glasses. She doesn't look to be wearing any make up but she's practically glowing.i'm to distracted to listen to him after he tells me her name because she was like a angel if she doesn't have a boyfriend then what the fuck is the rest of the school doing. "Gemma this is Alex, Alex this is Gemma" he says. I smile at her and she smiles back her smile turns the room even brighter I swear. "It's nice to meet you" I say to her she smiles and says "it's nice to meet you to Alex" hame is stood next to me when. He says "shit we gotta get to English Alex" I nod my head and start to walk with him only tuning to wind to wave at Gemma. She waves back as we leave.

Me and James are walking to English when I say. "So that Gemma? She single?" I say. James burst out laughing he then turns to me and sees I'm deadly serious. "I mean she is. For how much longer I dunno" he says. I raise an eyebrow. He chuckles. "My brother. He likes her and you know my brother who can say no to him" he says. He's not wrong. James twin brother Jack is the shit when it comes to our school. He's the hot muscles in all the right plays, he's captain of the school football team but he's also a dick. Like a right fucking dick. We get to lesson. "Listen all I'm saying is don't get your hopes up" he says. I nod my head and we go in.

That day i'm sat in the canteen reading a copy of Dan browns da Vinci code. When Gemma walks over. "hey, is that seat taken?" She says pointing at the seat across from me. I shake my head. "Hey, nah it's free" I say. she sits down at the table and starts chatting to me and before long we're talking about books. "So are you doing English literature as well?" She sasks me. I nod my head. "Yeah I do what about you?" I say. she the pulls out a copy of IT. A book i had already read. "Yeah we must be in opposite classes" she says. I chuckle. we started talking about the book shes reading and then disaster strikes jack walks up and starts talking to her.

Jack starts talking about a party at James. James had invited me to as well but I normally don't go to them. once hes gone Gemma tuns to me. "Do you know why he thinks I like him?" She says. i laugh and shrug. "Fuck knows" I say. it was her turn to laugh. "Sooooo are you going to James's party tonight" she saysi won't lie i had been thinking about just sitting at home and playing the new call of duty but the fact that Gemma is going i think it might be a good time for me to stop being so introverted and go to a party. "yeah i might as well go its not like there's much that can go wrong right" I say. she laughs again and agrees.

When I get home. I pull out my phone and i text James.
Alex- hey James. When's that party of yours?
James- uh 8pm my place. Why???
Alex- Cus I'm gonna come
James- who are you what have you done with the real Alex????
Alex- funny. Nah Gemma said she was going so I thought I might as well go and maybe chat to her
James- someone's got a crush
Alex- now I'm not gonna say no. But I'm not gonna say yes
James- 😂😂😂😂

I start to look through my wardrobe trying to find something decent to wear.
