Chapter 4- what you doing?

I get up at 6. "Shit" I mummer groggily. I shake my head and grab my school clothes. I carry them to the shower and lay them on top of the toilet. I then get in the shower. One I'm more awake I get dressed and head back to my bedroom. I sit down on my bed and turn my Xbox. I plan to get a couple games of FIFA in before school when my phone pings. It then pings again. I look at it and see a text from Gemma and a text from James. I open Gemma's text first.

Gemma- hey Alex. Weird one but what are you doing today at lunch?
Alex- hey Gemma. I'll probably be in the library or something like that why?
Gemma- meet me in the library at lunch?
Alex- sure :)

I then smile at my Tv screen. I sigh. "Who am I kidding I ain't got a chance with her" I say. I then grab my phone and see James's text.

James- hey dude. Hope you don't mind I gave Gemma your number
Alex- yeah we figured that one out. You've kinda done me a favour so cheers
James- yeah you owe me a fiver if I've assisted you
Alex- fuck off your not KDB or done shit
James- we'll see

I put my phone down and play a couple games of FIFA before grabbing my school bag and walking to school. I get to school early and see James stood by the gate. "Alex my dude!" He says. I walk over and stand next to him. "Talk to me what's the deal with you and Gemma?" He says. I shrug. "You tell me given your putting my number in her pocket" I say. He shrugs. I nod my head. "Shit. Well I kinda quite like her. But you didn't hear that" I say. James bursts out laughing "motherfucker I heard that your secrets safe with me but I heard that" he says. I lightly chuckles. "Fuck" I mummer. James is still laughing for a hot minute. "Well I'm meeting her in the library later" I say. James slaps my back he then holds out his fist I spud him. "That's my fucking guy" he says. I smile

Lessons are a drag but eventually lunch rolls around. I walk over to the library and see Jack harassing Gemma again. I walk in and walk over. "You didn't get the message last night?" I ask Jack. He turns around and looks me dead in my eye. Jack is taller than me given he's 6 foot 4. He's also bigger than me given he's built like a damn tank. "Fuck you say book worm" he says. I look over at Gemma who's shaking her head. I shrug and say "oh you must've not heard me. You obviously didn't get the message last night did you" Jack swings for me. I duck underneath his fist. "Come on Jack. We don't gotta do this" I say. I hear someone walk up behind me. "He's right Jack. Fuck off" James says. Jack walks away.

"Ain't you lucky I popped by the library" James says. I shake my head. "Anyway I'm gonna go and do my printing. Try to stay out of trouble" james says. I nod my head. I turn to Gemma. "Well I didn't expect that." I say. She nods her head. I sit down. "Oh we're not staying." She says. I raise my eyebrow. "You ever been up to the disused ICT block?" She asks me. I shake my head. I don't think I have to be honest. She gets up and grabs my arm. "Come with me" she says. James winks at me as we leave.
