She's Everything

Dean cleared his throat as he stood at the microphone looking at the picture of Castiel Winchester. He could do this, he knew he could.
"He's a yellow pair of running shoes, a holey pair of jeans.
He looks great in cheap sunglasses, he looks great in anything."
Castiel loved to wear those stupid yellow shoes when he went running in the mornings, and he'd always invite Dean to go even though he knew his husband would always say no, Dean hated running with a passion but now he wished he had gone. And though Dean had offered to buy Cas better sunglasses he refused saying that his cheap pair worked fine. But no matter what Castiel wore whether it was his holey jeans that fitted around his ass nicely or a sweatshirt he always looked beautiful.
"He's: "I want a piece of chocolate."
"Take me to a movie."
He's: "I can't find a thing to wear."
Now and then he's moody."
Castiel loved chocolate more than any food in the world, and when they had discovered chocolate pie at this cute little cafe one day the two had found the perfect dessert they could share and both be perfectly happy. It was their tradition to go every Sunday and get a chocolate pie, and Dean supposed he would still be doing that.
Cas also loved going to the movies so Dean would take him to one whenever he could and he'd even suck it up to watch those sappy chick flick movies just for Cas because he loved them.
Although Cas got moody sometimes over the stupidist things Dean thought it was adorable and even more adorable when they were going out to a nice dinner with family or friends and he'd complain about not being able to find anything to wear.
"He's a Saturn with a sunroof, with his brown hair a-blowing. He's a soft place to land and a good feeling knowing. He's a warm conversation that I wouldn't miss for nothing. He's a fighter when he's mad, and he's a lover when he's loving."
Dean knew that this speech was the most sappiest, chick flick thing he'd ever written/ read, and he didn't even know if he could read the whole thing without crying like a fucking baby but every word he was reading from the worn and torn paper in his hands he'd written and rewritten on were one hundred percent completely true.
"And he's everything I ever wanted, and everything I need. I talk about him, I go on and on, and on 'cause he's everything to me."
Yep here comes the tears in Dean's eyes.
"He's a Saturday out on the town, and a church guy on Sunday. He's a cross around his neck and a cuss word 'cause it's Monday."
Cas and Dean always walked around downtown on Saturday night to visit the shops and walk along to look at the art, it always brought a smile to Cas' face which evidently brought one to Dean's. Then Sunday morning with the cross necklace that Dean had bought Cas when they'd had their first year anniversary around his neck they'd go to church and Dean would put up with it because he loved Castiel and because his church actually accepted gay people so it wasn't all that bad. Then Monday morning rolled around and Castiel would awake with a cuss word because damn that guy hated getting up early.
"He's a bubble bath and candles;
baby, come and kiss me. He's a one glass of wine and he's feeling kinda tipsy."
Cas was such a lightweight when it came to alcohol and it always made Dean chuckle in amusement. Dean remembered when he would come home from work and Cas was already in the tub with scented candles lit because he loved the smells they produced and Dean would walk in; Cas would greet him with the biggest smile and tell him to come give him a kiss, and if Dean refused Cas would climb out of the tub and chase Dean till he caught him and kissed him causing his clothes to become soaking wet, but Dean didn't mind.
"He's the giver I wish I could be, and the stealer of the covers.
He's a picture in my wallet..."
Dean had to pause for a second because he couldn't see the paper he was reading from anymore because of his tear clouded eyes and he had to wipe his eyes and calm down before he could continue, thinking of how Cas would always steal the blankets while they were sleeping and after a while Dean just started to keep another blanket ready to pull onto himself because he hated waking his husband up to take the blankets back.
"He's the hand that I'm holding when I'm on my knees and praying. He's the answer to my prayer and he's the song that I'm playing."
Dean because of Cas had become to believe in God in a way, he was not as religious as Castiel but he believed and sometimes he prayed but always when he was holding Cas' hand, always when he felt comfortable or was sitting at the kitchen table for dinner and Cas would hold his hand and say a quick prayer before he'd let Dean eat. And whenever Dean played his guitar he always let Cas know that he was playing for him, that it'd always be Cas that Dean would be playing for.
"And he's everything I ever wanted and everything I need. I talk about him, I go on and on, and on 'cause he's everything to me. I loved and still love my late husband Castiel Winchester and I know he's in a better place waiting for me to join him."
Dean stepped down from the platform of the church looking at the casket as he cried silently and his brother held him in a hug as he tried to make it through the funeral without breaking down completely.
