Camila woke up to the sunlight shining through the large window of their bedroom. She couldn't help but immediately smile. Something about it felt so surreal — waking up in their newly remodeled childhood home with her best-friend-turned-fiancé and their precious pets. It was so beautiful and it was moments like these that made her realize that as hard as her life had been, she wouldn't change a thing. She rolled over to see that Shawn had already woken up; she could hear the shower running. Camila lifted her left hand to admire the way the ring sparkled in the morning light. She wasn't much of a material girl, but something about the way the diamond looked in the sunlight made her want to stare at the ring forever.

Camila laid in bed with Terk snuggled up next to her for a few more minutes, vowing to pull her lazy body up out of the bed eventually. She felt a little more awake when she heard the shower turn off. Shawn came out in a towel about a minute later.

"Morning cutie," he smiled. He rifled through a box of clothes they had brought up the night before to find a pair of black athletic shorts and a t-shirt. Camila shamelessly watched him get dressed. "I'm gonna run to the grocery store real quick — just to get some basic necessities so we can at least have breakfast. Any special requests?"

"Orange juice sounds good," she yawned. "Aside from that, just my usuals..."

"Okay, baby." He walked over and kissed her forehead, making her smile. "I think Brian is coming over around noon."

"Sounds good. I'll go ahead and start carrying in the light stuff until then." They both chuckled, Shawn rubbing a towel over his head to dry his hair. "Where's Tar?"

"He's downstairs eating. I already took him out this morning," Shawn told her.

"Okay," Camila yawned again, stretching her arms out to her side. Shawn couldn't help but smile as he watched her; she was so cute in the mornings. She was so cute all of the time — but especially in the morning. Her cuteness practically tripled when she jutted out her bottom lip and quietly whispered, "Can I have a hug?"

Shawn grinned, happily walking towards her and wrapping her up in a big bear hug. He squeezed her tight in his strong arms and for a moment he debated never letting go.

"Do you remember asking me for a hug when you were drunk?"

"No...?"

"It was adorable. I think I almost melted."

Camila shrugged. "I like hugs."

"I love that about you." He kissed her cheek and stood up to finish getting ready to go to the grocery store. He had already left by the time she finally worked up the energy to drag her tired body out of bed and get ready for the day.

Camila wasn't joking when she said she'd only be carrying in the light stuff. Could she carry in the heavy stuff if she needed to? Yes. Probably. But why would she when she could watch her strong fiancé carry them in instead? Camila carried in their clothes, bathroom toiletries, kitchen stuff, and other boxes full of random items. She put each box in its corresponding room, though as she did so she couldn't help but notice the two spare bedrooms they now had. Camila started wondering what they could do with that extra space. Sure, one could be turned into a guest room — that'd be especially helpful to have when Shawn's parents would come into town. And while someday the other room might turn into a kid's room, they still had some time before that would happen. For a moment she thought maybe it could be a home office but then she remembered she no longer had a job. Maybe a home gym? A movie room? A game room? Or maybe a library? Suddenly Camila had too many ideas and not enough rooms.

She was grabbing a box of stuff from their bedroom out of the truck when Shawn pulled into the driveway. Camila knew she was smiling like an idiot but she didn't care. She was still wrapping her mind around them moving back into this house and calling it their own and seeing something as simple as him pulling into the driveway with groceries made her heart feel like it could explode.
