I Told You So

It almost felt like floating. Despite his weight on top of her, she felt weightless with his lips on hers. They had woken up at the same time, something that didn't happen often since Shawn was a much earlier riser compared to Camila. Sweet morning kisses quickly turned into a quite heated make out session with Shawn laying on top of her, his hands holding her face as they kissed. Camila let her hands explore from the back of his neck to his curly brown hair, eventually moving down over his bare back and feeling all of the flexing muscles that she had previously only admired from afar.

"You're perfect," he whispered against her lips.

"I wouldn't go that far..."

"To me," he said even quieter before ducking his head down to give her another quick peck on the lips. "You're absolutely perfect to me."

Camila blushed and pulled him back down to her lips. One of Shawn's hands moved to the back of Camila's neck as the other slowly slid down the side of her body, caressing her ribs and stomach softly. He cautiously slid his hand below her shirt, the feeling of his soft yet calloused hand against her skin making Camila gasp into his mouth.

Camila's phone started ringing. She reluctantly pulled away from the kiss and looked over toward the nightstand where her phone sat but before she could even think about reaching for her phone, a strong and firm hand was wrapping around her jaw and turning her head back to him.

"Ignore it," he huskily commanded against her lips before diving in for more kisses. Camila giggled into the kiss. With each make out session they enjoyed together she got to see more and more glimpses of her best friend's possessive and dominating side. As embarrassing as it was for her to admit, she did kind of love it.

Her phone started ringing again but she again chose to ignore it and focus on her boyfriend's lips instead.

But then his phone started ringing.

"We should probably answer," Camila finally said. "What if it's an emergency or something?" Shawn sighed and rolled off of his girlfriend, despite the fact that he really didn't want to. He grabbed his phone and slid his thumb across the screen before pressing the phone to his ear. Camila grabbed her phone at the same time.

"Hey mom," he answered.

"Do you two have something to tell us?!"

Shawn's brows pinched together before glancing over at Camila, who was staring at her own phone with wide eyes and her mouth hanging open. She turned her phone to face him, a shaky cell phone video of them kissing in the deli the day before playing on the screen.

"Shit, mom...I'm sorry—"

"Sorry?!" Karen yelped. "Don't be sorry! This is the most exciting thing in the world!" Shawn laughed, pulling the phone away from his ear and putting it on speaker so Camila could hear too. "Why didn't you guys tell us?"

"We were going to," Camila chimed in. "But we wanted to tell you in person."

"I didn't realize I was relevant enough to have random strangers take pictures and videos of me out in public..." Shawn mumbled in disbelief. "This is crazy."

"Well, I'm definitely sorry that your privacy was invaded like that but it does make me very happy to know that you two finally pulled your heads out of your asses."

"Mom!"

"What? Am I wrong? No. You two have always been meant for each other. You've just both been too stubborn to actually admit it. I'm so happy for you two! How long has it been so far?" Karen rambled.

"It was actually the morning you called us to tell us about Colorado," Shawn chuckled.

"That's literally the moment we decided we wanted to wait until we could tell you in person — when we saw that you were calling."
